Happy Thursday folks.Took ages to de ice the car this morning and our road was very icy. Only in work half a day today, sun is out so will try to do some exercise. Not walked anywhere last night, left my gloves in work and by the time cleared cardboard out of the garage and put recycling out my paws were frozen. Diet not going well as I can tell by my tight skirt however got other half of pork pie left to eat for lunch. Salmon for tea again enjoyed that last night so much. Must steer clear of xmas cake.Happy becauseMy team won last night.Spent hour listening to music last night and cleared my headache. An afternoon off. @DrCarrie well done on the £900 towards your credit card. That's a really good amount and not to be sniffed at!
I've been quiet past few days as the house has been manic. Monday - radiators were off, and to our surprise a couple of the ones downstairs still work so it's not as cold as we imagined. All that's wood and we've not used any yet, but, it will come in and we won't need any now for a long while! Very cold upstairs though, we've got an old halogen heater that I had in my bedroom when I still lived with my grandparents (8/10 years ago - still running fine) which we have been using in the bedroom to heat it up a little. It's not great, but it's certainly better than nothing. We have 3 blankets on the sofa too, to snuggle into in the evening. Monday was a NSD.
Tuesday - We had to move sofa to dining room. It's a big sectional, so we had to take it apart. Meant there was nowhere to sit on Monday after work, most of stuff in living room/dining before was in the kitchen. Folded and ordered a pizza. We ended up sitting on corner part of the sofa, but that was uneven and uncomfortable so we settled for blankets on the floor Monday night watching TV in the evening.Wednesday - plasterer done in the living room, so we could move sofa back properly and put it together. Downstairs is a right mess, and there feels very little point cleaning it yet, until the plasterer is finished downstairs. Couldn't be bothered to cook, but the muesli I had didn't quite cut it, neither did the pot of cottage cheese I scoffed so I relented and made to pesto pasta with cheese. Proud of my NSD day though, when I was very tempted to order Chinese and use the renovation works as my excuse. So I'm now on 3/15 NSD.Managed some walks after work, to be honest, the expertise I'm struggling with the most. Usually, I run in the morning, before breakfast and before work. Then after work, me and DH will go for a walk because we're feeling cooped up and horrible inside the house. Now I have to pick one, run in morning, or walk with DH which I enjoy. I've. Picked the walking at the moment but this is the thing I've found most difficult, as lockdown is limiting my exercise outside. I think I'll have to find some you tube videos or Jo Wicks workouts and do them in the morning instead.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Good luck with the cleaning after plastering, it is amazing how much mess it makes, a quick wipe down once a day with a wet rag makes a huge difference to a room, as to how quickly it is clean. You just can't clean it once and it says clean, it is totally bizarre stuff. It is like a zombie, it just keeps coming back!Volunteering done, no exercise apart from running up and down stairs. Knackered now. Brrrr! It is -3 here and feels it.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD NO 6. That's good anyway. And I've been using up what we have to a make all our meals. Made a dish last night with hake ordered last week (which we've never had before) and bits of pieces. Sun dried tomatoes from a jar, a tin of chick peas that have been in the cupboard for longer that I can decently admit. etc. It was gorgeous. Quite Spanish. I'll do that again.
Done a bit of tidying and cleaning but not nearly enough.
We met a new neighbour from a very social distance. Himself was taking in the bins and the lad said to him what a kind man (Himself) was to do it and could he help. Himself said better under the circumstances if it's left to just one person. We saw them later with their little toddler. Gorgeous little thing called Ava who was waving to us. Apparently the first time she had seen snow and wanted out to play. Think we've found another little friend.
So tomorrow is my four weekly budget so must get on to that tonight.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
NSDs 4/15. 1500ml water and leftovers for lunch.
This morning DS went on a sledge for the first time. I went on a sledge for the first time in about 25 years! It felt incredible, totally exhilarating, we laughed so much. It really lifted our spirits.
Grateful for our neighbour lending us their sledge, fun in the snow with DS and OH, and my lovely friend who sent me a gift voucher for a book.

ldee- we haven't got enough snow for sledging, but I'm sure we will soon- about the only thing I like about snow!
Thursday- NSD 6/15. Bit of an accidental NSD- meant to go to the shop at lunchtime but forgot 🤣. Didn't need anything so badly I'll miss it.
Going to collapse in front of the TV soon and ignore the rest of the house work, am off all weekend and can't go anywhere so might as well do it then.

Evening all
No NSD today, car had MOT and service but came in cheaper than I thought. I used my cc but paid off about 60% and will clear the rest next month. Got my steps in walking to and from the garage in the cold! Not much else to report, just plodding along at work.
Did manage to sell 3 books on ebay so will get them posted tomorrow.6 -
Feeling much more organised today, I'm in a much better place.
Bonding is done in the hallway, I'm pretty excited about that to be honest, the walls look smoother already. Our house is a doer-upper and the previous owners loved art exhibit, so we're slowly sorting it out!Bagged another NSD today, so I'm at 4/15. Not sure if I'll manage making tomorrow one too, but we'll see. Had some chicken and wedges for dinner. It sort of felt like a normal dinner, but not too much prep (only cutting potatoes really). I can't wait for plastering to start upstairs, I can clean downstairs, keep on top of it and make sure time for dinner, space to prep food - have a floor of the house in order!Went for a walk around the block today, so got some steps in.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

NSD 4 as I encounter technical problems when trying to pay mum's house insurance and take out a puzzle mag subscription (January sale is on so it saves more than buying each month and a lot less hassle). Altered my food order (delivered tomorrow) but it has worked out slightly cheaper than when I did the original order (asked mum if there was anything urgently wanted and she wrote a list - luckily most was things I already had in the cupboard or had put on the order as I had to take an item out of the basket in order to add a different one). Also noticed that fresh veg items - onions, carrots, mushrooms - are now limited to 1 bag per customer.
A slightly difficult day which improved as it went on. I'm really not well today, so installed myself on the couch with a hoodie and a blanket and tried to work through my list. Got out the batteries and light bulbs box and managed to change the light bulb in the kitchen without a ladder (had to have a sit down after). Used one that was the right fitting, SES, for the standard lamp combi in my room but it didn't work. Concluded that the lamp is to blame not the bulb as I have been having to turn the bulb a tiny bit to make it work - so will dismantle and put it outside for someone to add to their tip run. Have put a new one on my to buy list - have an excellent one at home (for reading and sewing) and will buy one similar if I can (floor standing anglepoise). This one is mum's (possibly a cast off from the extended family) and is okay but not ideal.
Then I tried getting through to the doctor's - just ringing, no-one asking. Looked for the website which is greatly improved - the previous one was very basic and about 4 years out of date. Found that they are now using something called askmyGP so filled in the registration form (can ask questions about another patient if they are a child or you are their carer) and then got the response 'this service is unavailable at this time'. I did a bad swear (mum came in from the kitchen I was so loud - but had not heard what I said). Will keep trying but will send an email to the specialist neurology blood nurse in case it doesn't get done - I know everyone is stretched to the limit but don't know what else I can do. Tried phoning 111 and then the online version (very long waiting times).
Ate more bits from the fridge (took wraps from the freezer last night) and snuggled under my blanket until mum said she wanted to watch the film I mentioned the other night. Did a little bin shuffle (in between snowfalls) and had honey, cough medicine, painkillers, throat sweets and 2 cup a soups (I think that's my limit but I have put hot chocolate on tomorrow's shopping list.
Today I am grateful for the NHS and all it's workers, for honey and soft food, for fun films and hoodies and blankets. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Today I am grateful for our tech all working, for dd willingly coming out with me for a speedy walk at the end of the school day, for steadily working our way through leftovers, for some of dd's bday presents arriving, for dd taking some very skillful photos as we were walking.
