NST: January 2021 – the Turtles do the Jitterbug
Comments
-
Hello all,
I forgot to do this bit, oops. Been a hell of a week.Jittery or Jitterbug - definitely Jittery. remote learning, a tory government, a virus. not great.
Ideas. - Although it is cold it is decent weather and I am enjoying the garden and making use of things. I love the garden. Lucky to have it.
Thriftiness - I have about 10 bags for the Charity shop and have given away a lot of stuff from the shed clear out. I want a new fish tank. I can't buy it yet and need to check out prices and sell the old one etc. so we shall see. I am also needing to use "really useful" storage boxes as bedside tables in my current shifting about any ideas how to cover them??
Time with those you love - Spending loads of time with Mum! And no one else!
Extras. - I have promised to do over 5000 steps each day and 30 minutes activity recorded by my fitbit - so far so good.
Re-visit your budgets for the month. Emergency fund will take a hit as house rabbit needs op. Everything is ticking along. put a 1000 in various savings this month so very pleased about that.
Be yourself. I really need to sleep better and am trying to eat better.
Unburden yourself. - I am still decluttering - tho most of it has not moved on at the moment.
Gratitude and Generosity - I will continue to give stuff away so much easier than selling. I am grateful I have a job.
Nevertheless she persisted.6 -
Right now am sort of caught up, today is a no spend day, and I am off for my walk. Take Care all XXXNevertheless she persisted.7

Delivery coming tomorrow. It looks quite expensive but it is including some things for the Boy and my isolating neighbours. Definitely a lot of things not available which is one of the reasons I'm ordering for the Boy. He couldn't get mince or chicken in our local store last night.
Venison casserole tonight. A bit exotic for us but it looks very nice.
Cold and wintery looking outside,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
No spends today. Did go and collect some 0li0 food, though (tomatoes, sweet potatoes, naan breads, doughnuts) DH has been very productive changing the mirror (with lights) in our bathroom so I will offer the old one on fb00k and see if anyone wants it before part of it otherwise goes out for scrappy. He has also started sorting out his paperwork (a HUGE job!) and cleaned an office chair up for DS3
He is currently snoozing on sofa after watching a dismal game of rugby..
Donated a laptop to a friend the other day - it's not the fastest and has a couple of loose 'function' keys, but it is better than nothing (3 kids home learning).
Thankful for 0li0 food waste heroes, food plans (yum), DH being productive, it being Saturday, a warm house

Cant believe ds1 is turning 21 tomorrow! What a boring time for that, I am sure he will have his time though, eventually beyond the 'spare room'.

Grocery delivery day today and OH, DS, and I went to local ice cream shop for a takeaway treat.
Didn’t quite drink my 1500ml water today. Feeling a bit low and unmotivated - partly due to a poor sleep last night . OH had had beers alongside friends online (a virtual pub I guess) and his snoring was so bad that I took myself to the spare room! In almost 20 years, this is the first time I’ve ever had to do this! Tonight I need a decent sleep and some restorative time tomorrow.

NSD 5. Shower and sink cleaned (sink included surround to plughole, overflow outlet, grout between sink and wall and all the corners on the tap). One large bin bag out and several smaller bits to recycling, made a lovely meal, did some sorting on the large jigsaw - It's called the Nativity play, the middle (1000 piece) one is the action on stage and the two (500 piece) on either side show what is happening in the wings - the children fall somewhere between St Trinian's and the Bash Street kids. Toilet roll headboard redone (longer but narrower), spare pillows have been used to plump up my pillowcases (couch cushion has gone back to the couch).
Today I am grateful for getting things done, for easy food, for improving a small corner of my room.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
