Evening all, NSD 3, did spend today on breakdown cover, but managed to get it for a third of the price by using a different supplier. Advertised 2 things on local selling page & both sold. Was going to do more sorting out then put a film on & knit, but hubby said why not just do the film & knitting, so I did! Shopping list written for tomorrow, then back to work on Wednesday. I work in a school on a Scottish island, so we're currently in tier 3. Staff still to go in on Wednesday, but no children. Will have to see if we're going to be a hub again for the children of keyworkers, & what the plan is.
Stay safe everyone!

Good evening...
Sneaking in before bedtime. Apple - Thanks to the link to those workouts - I picked out 3 from there to try!!! A Yoga session, a dance workout and one that works your butt!!! 🤣
Today = NDS number 2.
Going well so far this year with steps and mindfulness and gratitude diary. Sleep needs work, and I am a little scattered - trying to do too many different things at once. Went for an AMAZING few walks these last few days - has been really good for the soul.

A quiet day for me. Was making progress yesterday morning but then in the afternoon the bathroom became my new best friend, so stalled a bit, partly through having to be close to the bathroom and partly because I didn't want to be handling food if it was a bug of some sort. Cooked brisket with carrots, celery, onions, leeks and small potatoes (using up what needs to be ) and also have extra boxes of cabbage (part eaten with mini pigs in blankets, the rest filling a 2 l ice cream box), carrots and leeks. Remainder of the brisket and veg that were cooked with it have been put in a pan with the leftover veg from yesterday dinner and will be eaten tomorrow. The lamb shoulder has been cubed and divided into 3, put in the freezer to make curries and stews in the next few months.
I have cooked chicken to make chicken in black bean sauce for mum, hard boiled eggs for egg and peanut roll, lots of veggie ideas for the rest of the veg and I want to make some chunky coleslaw mix which I can have by the bowlful with just a drizzle of salad dressing. With us both being ill at various times we have not got through as much food as we usually would - I've been making buffets with one hot dish, one cold and a variety of raw veg (normal would be 4 or 5 different salads, 2- 3 mix and match hot bits and 2 or 3 cold dishes). We have a wonderful assortment of desserts hidden in cupboards - most of the time we have been happy with just a meal and left dessert. Not doing much for veganuary yet but want to get stuff used up and / or frozen for later use. The meat will be eaten slowly over the next two or three months.
I am doing lots of things differently. but treating myself gently because of dizzy spells and fuzzy headedness - if I try to do too much I start forgetting what I'm doing and where I'm going. This morning I did my pills, then put some music on and did leg raises, (very) modified sit ups - but glad I could do anything at all) and stretches, lying on the bed (it's firm enough and if I get down on the floor and up again, I won't have time to do exercise) and had breakfast later when I felt like it. it was a good start to the day. More rubbish out and starting to take the decorations down. Mum took the cards off the second tree yesterday and said I could put it away in the box but when I went to do it in the evening, I found she had 'washed' it whilst I was incomoded ('only with the dishcloth').
Watched a couple of good films whilst chopping veg and occasionally checking on things that were cooking, put some of the tealights in a cupboard and a drawer (had lots of them lit this evening), her cook book stand in the kitchen (don't know where she has shoved the A4 magnifying sheet) and the shower gels and moisturisers have been stashed in the bathroom.
Today I am grateful for a good day with mum, for getting to wash my hair and do 2 loads of laundry, making the bed, for music, cartoons, Glenda Jackson and Vanessa Redgrave and being able to slouch around in warm and comfortable clothes. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
Good Morning Turtles, sorry I haven't been posting since the New Year. I haven't had my laptop on until today. So far:
- 1 NSD managed. Not great but it's a start
- I've set up my new Bullet Journal for 2021. Going back to this fomat as it's always encouraged me to be more creative and productive when I've used it before.
- Decluttering - several items listed on gumtree. One parcel getting picked up today.
- Old kitchen chairs have been delivered to my friend for her to upcycle.
- Several walks in the snow done. Planning workout from you tube later today.
OH bringing me a cup of tea in bed.
Wool order arriving - crochet blanket for my sister being made. Hope to start it this week.
A warm safe, welcoming home full of love and laughter.
Stay safe everyone x6 -
Today I will do a HIIT & RUN on my off screen day, correct a bunch of mistakes I have made (again) and do some swishing around the house cleaning, and bake a lock down cake. We're all a bit quietly desolate, but we will do it - again.
Oh and declutter 5 things a day!
And read my book.
And write 2 different short pieces.
Best wishes and hugs to everybody.
PS and am super happy that I just got £35 back from my cancelled naturalisation (citizenship) appointment in November - and even better - I never even really noticed that they were missing - didn't ruin Christmas or anything else. Am grateful for that.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Morning turtles!
Hugs to everyone who’s struggling with the current lockdown situation over there.
Managed an 8am wake up yesterday, went to the gym, then had a new private student and two more classes in the evening. Was seriously flagging by that stage. Need to work on getting my energy up, evening classes are a killer for me and that is basically my life now.
No NSD yesterday as bf and I went to a cafe for a coffee and a croissant before viewing a flat down the road. I paid.
Trying for an NSD today. It will be so much easier not to spend money when we are both back at work next week!
Watched 3 hours of a netflix thriller after which I really enjoyed. My new rule is I’m only allowed to watch tv during the week if it’s in Spanish. No reading, no meditation. Ate well apart from the naughty croissant which sneaked onto my plate.
Attempting to rejig my private classes as I’m trying to fit in more core hours with my main client as those will be paid cancellations. on the plus side the money situation is looking better than it has done for months, so I’m grateful for that.
Grateful also for helpful fellow teachers, for not being in lockdown (yet) and for getting into a good netflix thriller.

NSD No 4
Bad news is that the mother and sister of the two little ones have tested positive for Covid and the whole family is now in isolation. They don't know where they contracted it which just goes to show that you really can't be too careful. I have a Tesco order coming on Sunday so I've told them to let me know what they need and I'll add it to my order and leave it outside their door. I think delivery slots are getting hard to come by so as I already have one it makes sense. Himself is so upset that he can't see his little friends so he's busy just now making emergency chocolate bags to leave outside for them to see them through. Not that they are too bothered. Apparently they are playing quite happily indoors.
Better news. Banana muffins have turned out quite well. Not perfect but certainly edible. A little bit of practice and I'm sure I'll get there. Can't be that bad. Himself's had three already.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.11
