Please can I join this month, a little late but better than Never. Weekly shop yesterday £82,24 includes some cleaning products, but otherwise 3 nsd including today. I am on the vulnerable list so get a delivery each week and now the festive season is over am trying to reduce food costs, and also on a no buying of anything else month. Will think about my options and post later, but Happy New Year to the Turtles.NSD 1/3,

Questions to Reflect on the Year
What went well this year?
Lots of work done on my house, new driveway, patio, hall and stairs decorated, new carpets and hall flooring. Few brilliant gigs before lockdown
What did not go well?
Losing weight and getting fitter. Still not bendy.
What do I want to do the same next year?Saving and a few more house repairs.Getting out in the countryside. What do I want to do differently?Be more outgoing, I seem chatty bubbly person but if I need help I don't ask.More exercise maybe try something to make me more flexible. When did I feel most alive?
Bouncing around at concerts, Supergrass in Victoria Warehouse in Manchester was brilliant.
When did I feel most exhausted and drained?
Late afternoons my energy just slumps. What did I say 'yes' to that I wish I'd said 'no' to?Annoying 'friend' who lives nearby, just need to ignore. Just stresses me out and never says nothing nice about anyone. What did I say 'no' to that I wished I'd said 'yes' to?Starsailor gig before lockdown
Year end Review
One word to describe the year
Relaxing
Best thing you did for someone else this year
Helped early on with sunday lunches for homeless.
Most embarrassing moment of the year
Hmm. Can't think of any sure my work colleagues can think of many.
The time you laughed the hardest this year
Howled at my dd2 sledging story on NYE. She's mushing and dogs crashed into a corner, she got the guests off but the dogs and sledge ran off with her on the back screaming as the brakes did nothing. Guests had to be collected on snow mobiles still laughing and gave her good tips for entertainment.
Something you learned to do/ had never done before
Facts about dog sledging not sure how helpful that will be.
Most newsworthy event (?!!?**)
One of my theatre bookings now postponed until 2023!
Biggest lesson learned
Be kind
Favourite place you visited (this may be a generic list)
Anglesey coastal path - done a fair bit of it now.
Most memorable moment / day
Mini break in Manchester
Best advice you received this year
Keep busy, look after yourself/
Reminisce on one great compliment you received
Curvy women are hot! Apparently I fall into this category !! Bit more curvy now eek
What or whom are you most thankful for this year
DD and grandkids who I have seen as I bubbled with them during lockdown, always fun.My car passing its MOT 16 year old we have been together.DD2 managing to continue her travels from NZ to Canada just before lockdown. My health and this forum keeping me company

Hi turtles back in work today. Strange it's so quiet just greatful I still got a job.3 NSD in the bag. House tidy decorations taken down yesterday and found someone to put up a kitchen wall cupboard as my old one was rotten hopefully next week. Miss it so much other cupboards are crammed. At least I spotted it before it fell down.Might go food shop later need fruit/ veg then again trying to leave it as long as I can so I use up everything I have left.Paid spendy credit card, got £100 left on it will clear this week. Savings now grown to 13k same amount I was in debt in 2013 when I was not in a good place at all, together with mortgage suffocating me. Now life is less stressful, no mortgage, debts.Might ask for a refund for my postponed theatre show 2023 seems too far ahead?Grateful forEventually getting warm in this office only taken 6 hrs !Having fun in the snow with grandkidsCompany I haven't been talking to myself today.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/2210

NSD No 3
Well that's Christmas well and truly over. Christmas tree taken down and decorations all packed away.
Another cupboard tidied a bit. I've got lots of time to do the rest now since we're in complete lockdown and I can't leave the house until at least February. Haven't started the baking yet. It took practically the whole day to de-glitter the house. Maybe tomorrow.
Freezing here again and the roads and pavements are treacherous. Just sheets of black ice. Hope it thaws a bit tonight.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.12 -
Toni's friend - bet you'll be finding glitter for months...!

No spends today - only place I've been is for a walk with the youngest 2
Waiting to hear what Boris has to say tonight... sigh...
Thankful for a warm house, dry shoes, my family, easy food, getting rid of a couple of things via freecyc1e
Exercise today was a session on rowing machine and the walk (although walk was definitely not strenuous!) Step count is still only 7.5k, though, so I need to trot around inside the house some more to get that up!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209
