Oh gosh it's been a long day. 7 hours of remote teaching! It's a long haul. I still love my students though, even if I am the worst TV they have ever seen!
Two amazing things have just happened - literally today. For the last half year I have waited for change to start to happen in my life, I have been preparing, reflecting, doing small things, big things, my journal, sort of beginning to think about doing some writing with a bit more purpose than just a plain meditation.
So today - a person on a group is training to be a life coach - and I have been offered free coaching sessions. I am so excited. I can't wait.
And then somebody has written me and asked me to review a book, abut a topic I used to work on, so yes - it will be amazing. Nothing big, nothing paid, but more chances to reach out - which is pretty much on the top of my list after keeping my self (my head) 'straight'. So I am super grateful for that.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

I expect the U turn from our mob soon. I know which one I would sooner take advice from.So sticking on NSD3. Budgets set - I know what I am doing.@Kerry_Woman - I hope you had a good first day.
Back at work today. I'm grateful to still have a job but I've been WFH since March now and I'm tired! Didn't clock a full day, but I had some flexi time to use so all good. Rads are off, upstairs is freezing! We managed to get two bits of skirting board off after work, can't get at the rest of it in another room as trunking for plug socket extension is in the way. Can't wait for electrician to come next week to sort that out!Went for a little walk during the afternoon, only at 7,000 steps though so will need to move more after dinner. I'm grateful to OH for cooking dinner!NSD today, so I'm at 2/15.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

Great news Ditty!
Nothing as exciting to report here. First day back at work (currently at home), was dreading it beforehand but it was actually nice to be busy! Got my steps in and did a pilates class too so happy with myself. Just waiting for Boris' latest blunder on the TV...11 -
Today I am grateful for making the effort to get outside, for text messages with my sister, for dh finding some bday items for dd, for tech meaning I can prep work at home, for dd having an online ballet class that she loves.

Evening all
NSD yesterday but not today as I had a click and collect grocery order to pick up. Grocery budget is looking sparse considering how much of the month is left, but January is always a bit tough.
Today was a productive day at work, however, if the fool goes on air at 8 and declares another lockdown I will actually cry. Just simply because that will be a whole day of hard work, just wasted. We're not allowed to do live lessons, so at the moment I have to record myself and upload - which I hate doing and is still only being looked at by approximately 3 kids per class. Ugh. That is all. However, it was lovely to see people again from a safe distance, and speak to other adults face to face.
I won't lie, I'm not sure how well I'm going to cope with home teaching my classes and looking after my own kids learning. We're quite limited in terms of the ICT we have at home and sharing and the kids hating each other. However, I'll just have to plod on with whatever life chucks in my direction - I always manage to cope somehow.

NSD 2/15
I received a surprise email this morning from the rainforest retailer with a free £5 voucher labelled random acts of kindness. It’s completely legitimate and the fiver is now sitting in my Amaz-0n account so I’ll use to buy something I need, like cleaner, and put the savings by.
Heating back up to 21C this morning - just too cold for me to lower right now.
Feeling saddened by another lockdown but grateful to have our health, and so, so grateful to those on the frontline working to keep the country running.

NSD 3 today. Super busy day at work and managed to achieve over 11,000 steps while at work so didn't bother with a walk after. Grateful for surviving work, coffee (think this is on my list everyday
), not having to defrost my car this morning, good colleagues.

Monday- NSD 4/15. Really pleased to have got off to a no spending start to the month.
Have very anxious about the new lockdown- childcare nightmares at the moment! Nothing I can do but muddle through, and it will all sort itself out eventually!
I have an unexpected but unavoidable bill to pay this month, so I need to find £35 a week from somewhere! Will be the "fun" budget as we can't go anywhere, combined with a reduction in food shopping, and a general belt tightening- I will not reduce the amount transferred to EF or car replacement savings!
Today has been a mad morning at work, and a lazy afternoon. Minimal steps, absolutely no other exercise, no housework and no sorting or tidying, so a bit of a write-off of a day.
Proper day at work tomorrow, so unlikely to get much done in the house then either- there is always next weekend.

Hiya Turtles!
COVID test done, its mild if it is, but can't take the risk, right! New lockdown now, and gosh, I was surprised and pleased to see that they have let Support Bubbles stay. My daughter works in a scjhool and is on the clinical vulnerable list - so shielding, less anxiety for me, but what a time she has had of it!fingers crossed on the vaccine roll out being smooth.
So I have been working on my assignemnt over the weekend, and a long day today - yoga at 6.30, work form 10-7.30, and then meditation this eveining. NSD yesterday, 1/15 should be good for the next few days too. I made Dahl in the slow cooker and have eaten well all day.
Grateful for
- payday today > need to look at the budget
- slow cooker bubbling away while I worked
- my yoga community
3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497

NSD 3 today. I'm not sleeping well at the moment so I begrudgingly rolled out of bed at 8am and straight to my desk to work from home. I hate working from home, but it's halved my fuel costs, and I'm conscious that I'm one of the lucky ones that has continued working throughout the pandemic.
Whilst I had the laptop out, I took the opportunity to redo my budget spreadsheet - I'd attempted it on my iPad but don't know how to format it properly on there. I've only taken into account my wages & our benefits as DH only has relief work at the moment. On this basis, we will be £4000 short by the end of the year. So, we need to find a minimum of £333 extra income per month, either from DH earning, from selling items, online surveys etc. We do have some savings we could dip into if absolutely necessary but I'm hoping we won't need to.
Today I'm grateful for:
DH bringing me copious amounts of coffee whilst I worked
DC1 helping to keep DC3 entertained whilst I work from home
The free food we are still eating our way through
