Well, yesterday wasn't a NSD. I needed to replenish the kitchen foil supply but I have a pot for bulk buys so that's ok.
Lovely cousin loved her flowers. We don't usually do birthday or other presents but it's been such a difficult year I thought a nice surprise would help her enjoy her day especially as her daughter and two little grandsons couldn't visit.
Himself and I spent the afternoon watching old films and drinking tea. I'm very glad to say that he has given up on alcohol. It was really nice.
Not many plans for today. The Boy is coming for his roast dinner as normal.
Have a good Sunday,Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -

Sunday- NSD 10/18.
Had a fantastic riding lesson this morning, but it was paid for last week on a speedy day. Am going to have a shower soon and put my pjs on, then cook a roast for dinner.
Have a few bits to do around the house but nothing too stressful, and the rest of the day is time spent with DD.
Grateful today for all of the above- just the fact that despite the mayhem around the world/country, life at home can be good and enjoyable.5 -

Thank you, Apple. It's been a problem on and off for many years but this time was the worst ever. I think he got a real fright. So fingers crossed.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

Evening all, spend day here. I had a riding lesson, timed to perfection in the only spot in the day when it wasn't raining!
also bought some fish for my aquarium (a planned spend for the month) and I also bought a couple of straw beach mats online - not for me but to put on the floor for the rabbits to dig to protect the carpet! Cheap and cheerful.
Overall it's just been a nice weekend. There's so much uncertainty in my work life and just in the world in general, but spending time doing simple, enjoyable things is good for the soul.
Time for a bath, then dinner and possibly The Crown (watched first episode of the new series this morning and loved it).

Today I am grateful for getting out for a run in the pelting rain, for a lovely shower, for spending time with dh and dd, for dd doing an awesome job with a video I'm making, for finding a simple hack that should stop my specs steaming up so much....

Well I ended up with a too long to do list this morning, and whilst I was making a remedial menuplan and shopping list my early plan of going for a walk was thwarted the rain was back with a vengeance. So grateful I went for an early shop, a walk, and a latish run, beautiful along the river. Sorry for anybody who got caught out in the rain. Have a great week.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

I am about 10 minutes shy of having 2 wooden planters ready for spring, and a lot less 'emergency wood' in the shed. So a good day all in all. DS1 cooked lunch (dh supervised), all the laundry got laundered, I have even conditioned my hair. It was indeed NSD9. Half way through the madness already.

Shower was scrubbed. still need to have another go at the black mould this week but mostly gone and couldn't live any longer with the shower out of commission. Intended to wash my hair but forgot and was nearly dry when I remembered. Lots of tidying done. Brisket and veg cooked. Really want to get the winter bedding back on (wool mattress cover and quilt) but my shoulder is aching, both items need to be rolled and folded carefully and then heaved over my shoulder with even amounts to the front and back and there are lots of other bits to be taken off and put back. May try clearing half the bed and putting the mattress cover in place (on wall side of the bed) then add as many light layers as I need for tonight - in the morning I can move the layers (sheets, pillows, 2 summer covers and other stuff that has nowhere to go yet) and finish off.
Grateful for not needing to go out, a hot shower, lovely food and the end being in sight, for a little clarity about prioritising my own health and some ideas to explore, not spent any money today and lovely d-i-l is out of isolation (though still has no sense of taste) making DS1 and the grandpuppy very happy.
