NST: November 2020 - Madness!!!

Shrewbie - I meant to ask you if you saw any of the final leg of the Vuelta a Espana as it arrived in Madrid a few days ago. I was desperately trying to recognise bits from when I was there all those yeats ago!

Quiet day, little bits of progress (copying f0xh0les 'puddles of tidiness'). Various piles of rubbish into appropriate bins, Last two white buckets emptied so now have room for more stones (stone buckets pile is bigger than the soil pile). Second load of washing done. Found room for more books on the shelves I thought were full and some candles in there too. Today I put some of my presents (large boxes) on the windowsill. Measuring progress by the empty boxes - 2 large and half a dozen small (small ones mostly 9" cubes.. Still some things in my room that shouldn't be, but not sure where to go with them. Mum complained because I putb 'biscuits for cheese' and 2 packs of choc hobnobs into an empty cupboard (festive food). Apparently it's the children's toy cupboard (a second one?). I pointed out that we will need the food in December and unlikely that we will be allowed to have children in the house before March.
Grateful for 'puddles of space' (still had problems trying to find somewhere to put my second foot whilst carrying a heavy box), spending some time just sitting in the yard - had a jumper on so not too cold, no rain, weak sun so no need for factor 50. Didn't think about what needed doing or how I would tackle various tasks, just sat quietly, just being. May start a 'packing bag' - weeding out all the bubble wrap and large clear bags might make things a little clearer. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -
Thursday- still NSD 8. Have started shopping for that day in December. Just a few stocking fillers so no huge expense. Made a few phone calls off the massive to do list so its fractionally shorter now!4

Hello everyone!
No Apple I didn’t see la vuelta, I'm sorry to say I didn't even think of it! But actually now you mention it it would be fantastic to see them coming in one day. Did you recognise anywhere on the route?
I think I am on a shameful amount of NSDs.... I usually record them but have been lax this month, maybe only 3. Last weekend was spendy, and this week has no reason to be, I only have dinner at a friend’s house so will buy wine and dessert.
Little progress made on goals this week as had another debilitating headache spread over one night and two half days which really sapped my motivation. Need to get teeth and eyes checked first and then maybe a trip to the docs.
hopefully next week will be better.
Also I need to remember to choose to spend guilt free time relaxing, wanted to say thank you mothernerd for the reminder last month!

Today is finally another NSD so 8 now. Seemed to take a long time coming. I have everyone at home today as DS3 is now coughing a dry persistent cough, so took him straight to test centre last night, and now we are staying home til we get his results. So far the school have run 3 times to ask where they are. I had already rung and had spoken to the office and explained the situation. They are not happy the other 2 are not in school! So all food will be from stores until further notice. I have lots of bramley apples, so we can have crumble, and 4 mangoes, so overnight oats are on the cards. Soup is bubbling on the stove. I am trying not to be consciously waiting for the result email, but failing miserably. At least I have cleaned the top two floors again (I think I stress-clean) and only have the kitchen left to do, so might go and saw some stuff up instead. Good cheap entertainment/ exercise /warmth. Have a good weekend turtles!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well today wasn’t a NSD. I ordered some gift wrapping things. Trying to get ahead. But I did wrap some gifts with what I already had.
Also ordered some flowers to be delivered to the lovely cousin for her birthday tomorrow. Normally we would go for lunch in the next few days but no chance of that happening any time soon so hopefully it will be a nice surprise for her.
Himself is improving slowly - very slowly but at least it’s encouraging.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5 -
Hope himself keep improving, toni'sfriend.Today I am grateful for sunshine, for finding what I needed in the shops, for a good z00m meet, for my fabric stash, for chatting with some friends tonight.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

Fingers crossed for a clear result, @f0xh0les
Have spent most (all?) days since I last posted - if not at smkt have been buying presents online (the odd book, a calendar - nothing too exciting) - have used cashback sites/ vouchers/ discounts/ rewards etc on pretty much everything, though
Grateful for tasty food using things we had in, a dry day, seeing swans on the canal when I went for a walk this afternoon, getting some things sorted out so that lots will be leaving the house once lockdown is overI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203 -
Some steps forward - merino wool 'quilt' and mattress topper out on the line - too big to go in the washer but if I can get them out on the line on a good day the fresh air and sunshine do a lot of good and I can sponge away the odd mark. Some progress on the shower - yesterday I stripped away the mats, squirted on stuff and scrubbed the base with the rubber broom every time I went in there (my back wouldn't let me do more). Today I did the inside of the shower screen, tackled some of the black mould and left it to soak, did a little more scrubbing and put the trap (2 parts) and the rubbery edging bit from the half screen into a bucket with hot water and some stuff.
Several more buckets of soil and stones sorted (slightly over done it). Made some stencils to use up various craft card stock into winter scenes, cut a few shapes this evening. Had a long messaging session with DS3 who had to visit an emergency dentist for an extraction. Has been on pain meds for 3 days and then he opted for a dentist near Manchester as he knew the route and although not a pleasant experience, they treated him kindly and dealt with the problem - he lost count after the fourth injection. He's going to register with a local dentist but they have no space until the new year.
Today I am grateful for finding odds and ends in the fridge to feed myself, for a lovely if chilly day, for delivery drivers. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
Got the all clear for DS3 so I can stop worrying. Phew! Have the strangest urge to go out and spend money now I am able to, so I am taking myself off outside with a saw, and hopefully it will go away (need to buy tomatoes and carrots but could send dh).
