Today I am grateful for the fire-y colours on the trees, for working with some lovely people, for not being out in the rain, for good coffee, for my health.

Quiet day. No money spent. Woke and had my pills then thought I might be able to sleep a little bit more - several hours later. Had a shower (only managed a wash yesterday). Sleeping and resting is doing my back and shoulders lots of good. I am in a good place because most physical things are impossible atm (have weird dizziness - now developing a whole catalogue of different types of dizziness) so no guilt at not doing things (lack of tension is also helping the hurty bits) just warm and floaty. Cleaned my mask and hose, slathered on moisturiser, sat up sewing for a couple of hours this afternoon.
Thankful for firm bed, sleep, relaxing, reading and looking after myself. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage4 -
Still on 4 NSDs as yesterday was a spend day - me and OH went round the charity shops and got some clothes, got a birthday present for OH's nephew, bought new throws and filled the car with petrol. Today will also be a spend day as I'm meeting a friend for coffee and popping into the butcher's.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

NSD No 5 yesterday.
I did manage to get some things done but not much. I must start making detailed lists again and see if that helps get the motivation going. Even seeing tiny little things ticked off is a positive.
I made currywurst for dinner, The sauce was from a packet - I'm not that clever - but it was delicious. Took me back to Berlin where I acquired a positive addiction to it. I suppose if we can't go on holiday the next best thing is to bring the holiday to us!. So got some pork chops in the freezer and I will attempt snitzel later this week. Tonight I'm making sea bass with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and pretend I'm in the south of France. Do you think I am now completely loosing the plot?
Right I'm off to have a coffee. Should have taken that croissant out of the freezer to get me in the mood.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -

That is completely marvellous @Toni'sfriend , do you know where you are eating for the C-Word? C-word all around the world. I love it.Today is a spendy day as I need step-gran's birthday cards and a few treaty snacky bits (she wants nothing, but needs to have something) and a bouquet of flowers to be delivered. DS1 made it back into college this morning after his isolation period, DS2 was sent home yesterday for 11 days quarantine as someone he was close to on Friday has tested positive. One in/ one out!Made mango overnight oats for breakfast and it went down well with everyone. OOD mango puree tin (free) and about 4p worth of oats and it fed 6 of us. Toasted almonds on top with chunks of fresh ys mango - saw a recipe by Nadia H, so bodged my own. Having the same tomorrow. The kids had banana smoothies as well so 2 of their 5-a-day before they even went to school.Still working my way through the lists, starting to see some progress, but failing to get people to agree to no-present-pacts.Gratitudes: full fruit bowl, having food in the house, having a plan, being on top of things, swimming with the Turtles.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

My friend has her tree up alreadyIt goes up on Halloween as a halloween tree, then stays up and is recorated for Diwali as festival of light tree, and then is redecorated end of November as C-word tree. She gets her money's worth for her multi-culti festival tree.
Mind you she put fairy lights up on her scaffolding. She was just glad her building work was finally getting done.
Lots of bushes in front gardens here have their white light nets on for Diwali this weekend, and they just don't get taken down til January.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Haven't decided on that one yet, F0x0les. Just Himself and I with small appetites so something simple. My son had a lovely Swedish flatmate one time and she made us gravadlax one festive celebration so maybe something like that. Himself has got right on board with the holiday food theme and has provided a long list of things we've had abroad over the years. Some I can manage. Others might be beyond my capabilities.
I love the idea of a multi cultural tree. I'll be struggling to find somewhere to put mine this year.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4
