Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • So latest update was this email from dcb legal. And no response from highview when questioning them regarding the double recovery charges. I’ll try the secretary of the MP again but they don’t seem to be interested in helping.

No luck with the MP complaint as it’s got to the letter of claim stage.

What has that to do with it?

I was told they are not legally trained and told me to contact citizens advice Bureau.
And they are wrong, because LBC stage is NOT COURT STAGE and because all MPS help constituents with this scam.

Show them the Hansard debates from 2018 and ask, is the MP totally unaware of the new legislation and new statutory Code coming in and the huge interest in Parliament when this 'outrageous scam' was exposed?

As the code of practice is only for Parking Companies who contract with BPA to operate within an unregulated industry, GUESS WHAT ?  the motorist is NOT contracted to the BPA and the code of practice is meaningless to you and all motorists.
It is simply a contrived add-on by the BPA to increase profit and it's amazing that given all the court cases where Judges either strike out such cases or take the fake charges off, that  the BPA persist in such a ridiculous clause / scam amount.

If DCBL think you are contracted to the BPA code of practice, then ask DCBL for your signed agreement with the BPA.   They cannot. Let's see what nonsense they reply with
