Dcb legal have come back to me and the original parking charge by highview was £85.00 after sending a reminder it went up to £125.00 which was to an address I no longer lived at so didn’t receive this. Which brings both parking charges to £250 so the remaining charge of £60 must be coming from dcb legal. From other threads I’ve read am I right in saying they are not allowed to add this extra charge?
    PARKING CHARGE = £85
DCBL ADDING FAKE CHARGES which are not allowed

Any man and his dog can add fake charges, think DCBL are missing the dog ?
IN A NUTSHELL THE DCBL CLAIM IS A FAKE

    You must ask them ....

Given POFA2012, given the Supreme court ruling and given the county courts own ruling about double recovery, what is their legal authority to add unknown amounts.

Thank you I will reply with this once I have it in writing from them. Do you think Dcbl will throw this out before even issuing a court letter if i state the POFA2012?

Why not write to the PPC asking them why their poodle is adding unlawful charges..   Their reply might be useful to you in court.

Have you complained to your MP?

No. They don't earn their money by giving up that easily.  The only real silver bullet will be delivered by the Judge.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

"The PCN schedule states two separate issues. One on the 07/02/16 and the other on 21/10/16. With no time frame or evidence I was actually parked here on those dates."

Desperation is creeping in. There must be liquidity issues with some of these PPC's by now. I wonder what the courts will think to all these old claims? I know that technically they have six years but why leave it this long?

It a PPC goes into liquidation I can't work out what would happen to the claims which are showing in the accounts as "debtors". No bank would lend against the debt book. They cannot assign them to a collection agent. They are like the sub prime debt during the banking crisis (worthless). Chasing these old claims is like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

did you admit to being the driver in any initial appeals?
  • I have not admitted to being the driver, I left this question blank on the SAR request form and I’ve denied the debt with DCB legal. I’m going back to the PPC today to ask where there legal company have added unlawful £60 Charge. And I’m also emailing dcb legal and stating the POFA2012. And see where it goes from there. Thank you all for your responses so far - it’s been very helpful.

Just ask Auntie Google "who is my MP" and you will be able to enter your postcode.  As to the body of the complaint, just go to town on how you feel about parking scumpanies and that they are preying on hapless victims and then ask/tell the MP what you want done about it.  Refer to the debate in parliament where they were called rogues and the recent consultation for the new code of practice.

I have found my MP - thank you. I’m going to email him now. Shall I attach any of the letters/ documents I’ve received?
