A NSD today taking me to 3. Just need to do a second coat on the half wall that is left and that will be the bedroom painting finished
Gratitudes - a good day at work, OH having a good first day at college and a yummy tea of sausages, mash and veg.
Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.987 -
Up early for a food delivery - arrived close to the start of the two hour window so was able to get a much needed rest afterwards (already done all the getting up stages pills, shower, dressing etc). Went to town this afternoon, was aiming for the end of lunch period and to be back before the end of the school day. Didn't take the walker as I was hoping to bring back the trolley or the older dolly and more garden stuff. Went onto the canal bank and came out on the far side of the bridge (wider pavement). Over the bridge to the crossing by the bypass (lights all in my favour) then along the bypass path as it's shielded from the bus station by a band of trees.
Into the 'mall' and into the card shop (mum started a list of things she wanted as soon as I mentioned going into town - 2 specific cards and metal pan scrubbers). People were only wearing masks as they entered shops (except for me who gloved and masked up before I left mum's and only took them off when I got back in the bungalow) and although there were far fewer people in there than usual, some overtook, walked backwards or ignored the one way bit). Later on I was having a sit down and someone came so close they nearly stood on my toes. Walking was tough but doable (not in pain but very slow and an effort). Picked up a puzzle book, 4 books in the sale, the second card, put mum's letter in the post box and came out at the top end rather than risk going through the market.
Only one person at the cash point (bank I used last time has now closed, cash machines haven't been removed yet but if there's no-one in the bank, they won't get loaded with cash. Quick will co visit and found the pan scrubs + ibuprofen and loratadine (only had cetrizine online). Picked up 5 x 99p books in Oxfam then went to pay cash into the bank. Tempted by a couple of other shops but just too tired. Didn't call home or go in the community shop, but went directly to the taxi office.
Put clothes in the washer, had a shower and then lay on the bed. When I paid the money in at the bank and had to put my pin in the machine, my hands started to shake (think it was the carrying heavy bags) and the same thing happened when I tried to get the key in the lock. Has taken a few hours to recuperate but I know it can be done as long as I take extra precautions to cover the laxity of others.
Today I am grateful for reasonable weather - cool but not cold, no rain, for getting things done, for nearly being debt free again (now I have the money in the bank), for being more organised (despite the mess).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

Still on NSD No 5
Went for a walk to the local fruit shop for some salad things.
Whilst i was out I got a message to say my cousin's husband had died. Not unexpected as he had been very ill for the last few months but very sad. I've known him for most of my life. They have a large family Children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, etc so because of restriction on numbers I won't be able to go to the funeral. I sent some flowers to her so I hope that will give her some comfort to know that we are thinking of her.
I'm still feeling stressed and finding it difficult to sleep. I think I've got too much time on my hands and I'm overthinking everything. Although I'm a bit of a worrier I'm not usually this pessimistic. Think I should find something to occupy me.
Well, enough doom and gloom off to have a cup of coffee.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -

One! One year group closed for Covid! Har! Har! Har!I tell you Sesame Street would have be a very different animal if I were in charge. The Covid Count has spoken. Yr 12 is quarantined for a fortnight, but not yr 13 which is odd as they have registration together for 20 minutes twice a day. I suppose they are waiting for one of the yr 13s to fall over - they will be alone in the college building now, why isolate until you have to? I suppose I should be grateful they managed to stay open for a week and a day. Cross contamination is def. an issue. I hope the teachers are ok.Gratitudes for today: Only having 4 kids, so we are a family of 6 and thus I do not have to tell them which is my least favourite person
, and nobody has to go live somewhere else. - the school letter stated if the yr 12 kids had elderly or vulnerable people in their household they should send the vulnerable person to live with friends or relatives - thus ... erm, spreading the possible contagion to other households????
Honestly, they are making this stuff up as they go along. This is the PHE advice?? It is getting beyond a joke now.

NSD No 6 yesterday.
Didn't get out but did spend the day trying ti tidy up a bit. Everything is looking a bit messy at the moment.
Well done on the de-cluttering, facethemusic. That sounds really productive. I managed to sneak another bag of broken bits and bobs into the bin and organise some paperwork. Just as well the recycling man comes today. There was quite a lot of paper, And I sent a few emails that I've been meaning to do.
So, I do have some plans for today. Another cup of coffee and I'm off.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7
