Monday- NSD 4/15. Busy day at work. Minimal decluttering- some veg from the garden for tea, a few things from a kitchen drawer binned while cooking tea. Minimal exercise- dog walk and a bit of "poo picking" in the horses field. Am totally done so am crashed in front of some rubbish TV and going to bed very soon.
Gratitudes today- veg from the garden, DD sounding almost tuneful when she practiced her music while I was cooking, my cat keeping me company on the sofa- purring is so relaxing.6 -
Admin and spending day. Sorted mum's tv license, did a small food order for delivery tomorrow (mainly store cupboard 'extras' - balsamic vinegar, sesame oil, mayo as existing jar is quite large but has only a small amount left - cooking mojo is coming back and want a few more ingredients to play with), books for me (not strictly a spend, reclaiming money mum owes me), Will co (diy, meds, first aid, garden pots, tiny stationery spend), and a present for later in the year (a visitor was very taken with the rattan animal planters I bought for mum so been hunting for similar to give her), seed order (clearance seeds).
Have tried to do a raised bed materials order but they had a funny payment system so not sure how to proceed (they want payment direct into their bank account and not sure it will work using mum's account - may use mine but then she will owe me even more money). I want to do at least one more seed order (heritage and organic seeds, cheapo is fine for some things but want packs of the tomatoes I loved this year). Think I will get either hyacinth or narcissus for indoors (growing winter pansies for outside pots and planters). I have multiple plastic bags filled with things I save for growing (mushroom boxes, yogurt pots, toilet roll middles and various sizes of plastic bottles/ parts thereof).
We have both eaten from the batch cooking I did at weekend (cooked rice/ pasta to go with and a pan full of boiled eggs as well). Checked both our balances this morning and started to write out a budget. Mum's balance is very healthy (hence the spending - planned but waited until balance reached the required level). I have enough to pay the WTC repayment but want to put more money in first as paying it now would leave me with less than 100 pounds in there. Want to know I have enough in to pay standing orders for the next few months (DS3 has helped raise the money by paying his contribution to the household up until May next year). So as soon as I've paid the WTC I will start a proper savings account as well as building up 'money in the drawer' in case the house repairs go critical. My old accounts book has at least 20 double pages left so will be using that for both mum's and my accounts (noted all the spending, subtracted it from the balance and deducted any items for me from the money mum owes me).
Watched one of my favourite films this afternoon and must be very nearly finished with one sampler because I've done even more of it. Grateful for getting things done, tracking down a lot of random items (changed the batteries in two clocks yesterday and that left one in the box), remembering all the random items needed, for filling another drawer space (getting things off the floor and bed), for putting away the thread box in my new to me storage pouffe, for knowing things are falling into place even if it isn't showing yet.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Morning all...
Yesterday ended up not being a NSD - realised my new eating regime is working out more expensive than anticipated, so may have to juggle budgets. On the plus side - I had a clear out of my kitchen cupboards, and took a bag of stuff to the charity shop.
Out with parents and sister today for a meal (on them!) so will try and clock up an NSD if I can. Steps going well and hitting 7K + a day. Need to get my mindfulness back on track and be stricter with my sleep regime.
Have a great day everyone! 😊⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Hi everyone
Just coming on after a few days off IT, Im trying not to be online as much as I was during complete lockdown (must admit it was much needed by me then) so only trying to go online every few days. Anyway, not been out shopping at all since I was on, in fact I haven't been out at all! Im becoming a hermit and its not good for me, I really miss knit and natter and the library, I went to fat club last week and it was wonderful to see people. Not any grandma duties at the moment, the dgc are all back at school, and the schools are handling it brilliantly according to dds and the children are loving being back, even the 15 year old!!
So, nsd 7/15, eating quite healthy, exercise nil (must do better and get out walking more), keeping in contact with dds and going out for a meal at the end of the week with some friends that they are treating me to (its my bday) so Im looking forwards to that.
Hope everyone is keeping well and doing well.

No NSD here, had planned spends as needed some vitamins, car air freshener, enamel bowls (should help stop the recent washing up smashing plates incidents!) And had to pay the vet bill. Took my car to the garage to be checked out, they can't find any fault so hoping it's okay. I drove it about 100 miles this weekend and couldn't replicate the noise either... They didn't charge me a penny for looking which is lovely of them!6

Today I am grateful for a fair day that dried my washing, for dd getting through school, for starting a 10-book series and enjoying it, for a decadent daytime soak in the bath, for having an abundance.

Tuesday- NSD 5/15.
Don't think I'm making 20000 steps today but am over 15000 so that will just have to do!
Gratitudes today- family who help out whenever needed, DD adapting to whatever changes are thrown in her direction (as we enter the 7th month since she saw her Dad), to do lists!
Been thinking about RAOK- not sure they count as random if I pre-plan them, but they will be unexpected by the recipients!4
