Today I am grateful that it is the weekend, for a good day at work and just getting things done, for sharing taxiing duties with a friend, for le Tour, for the 'school children only' bus driver letting me on with dd (supposed to only be with primary kids).

spend day today as we went shopping for a new laptop as OH starts college on Monday. Grateful for seeing my gran looking well, getting more painting done, decluttering a bin bag full of tat from the room and identifying more items to go to the tip.

Friday check in.
Today is NSD 3/15.
20000 steps but no other exercise- have ridden for the last 2 days and have a lesson tomorrow so that's all on track.
Budgets so far all good- but I've not really had time to go crazy spending yet- I have been writing a furniture "wishlist" so there may be some "planned overspending" later in the month 😂
apple_muncher- I think that is the way forward, I have a mini challenge for myself where everyday something has to go- charity shop bag, bin or passed on- today I have sorted one shelf of assorted drinking glasses- I have to stand on a chair to reach the shelf and I can't remember the last time i used any of those glasses. The shelf is now empty and I will never see those items again. I have started with an easy/no real decision shelf so my progress may slow as I get to the more complicated bits of the house.
Gratitudes - DD agreeing that 2 outdoor toys can be passed on to a work colleagues younger son, friends who go out of their way to help out, our home grown veg haul - tomatoes, courgette and cucumber all gathered up today.9 -
Hi everyone, been offline the last couple or days, 'me time' to do other things!
Health - Walking every day so Im slowly working up to a better level of fitness. Quiet time as above and diet has improved.
Wealth - following budgets and been shopping once for food only and bought food to last a couple of weeks, but will need some more fruit and milk next week as a top up. A tentative list is made for the Dec pressies so I can start on getting a few bits - it isn't very big as I have decided for my own ease I will give money for all dgc for their parents to get something! cop out I know but at least they will get something they really want or it could go towards new phones etc that some are getting.
NSD 4/15 including today.
Life - More bits put on the calendar but not too much just yet (mainly picking up school duties of dgc, until schools get back to normal hours). Next week there isn't much at all socially but Im going out for coffee with youngest dd, but she has free coffees at our favourite coffee shop and I have a gift card so both will be free - better still!!!
And that's about it really, still feeling positive, more healthy and happy that I have finished knitting a cardigan for myself.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and I will go off and prepare a garden cottage pie for cooking later on for my tea tonight, hopefully there will be leftovers for dinner tomorrow as well.

Hi reading a couple of posts above I do think I need to schedule a few more life things. Apart from that I am grateful for reasonable health, a working car and a house to tidy ( will need doing though).
Just adding that I am incredibly grateful that the boys now pretty much get along, communicate, have fun, do the odd stuff togethere, where as in March they were arguing and just wished each other out of the house!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

Update for the last two days
Wealth - Thursday was a spendy day and I also broke my no booze ban.. however I only had 2 drinks which is unheard of for me. Just can’t wait to get back to work and fewer opportunities to spend money.
We went out looking for craft items that might occupy us if there is another lockdown....(eye roll) Spent €14 on bits we needed for the house including some bargain ceramic bowls from T1g3r for €1 each, so not too bad.
yesterday was my first NSD. BF was hungover and about to order takeaway but I managed to tempt him with an oven chip butty.
Life well lived
I got in touch with an old work colleague the other day and plan on reconnecting with some people next week. Going to send a little care package to my youngest sister who starts college away from home next week.
Student loan £5655

Still on NSD No 3
Walked to the butchers and the local shops to get a few things for the Boy and chicken for dinner tomorrow. Avoided the heavy rain luckily. Must admit it was nice to get out and about after a very sedentary week last week. I think I'm beginning to feel a bit bored and with them threatening to reintroduce restrictions again all over the place just a bit stressed. I really hate uncertainty and not being able to plan. I just wish people would be sensible and we wouldn't be having this problem.
Anyway, enough of that. Have a good weekend.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
NSD 4/20
Today was my first spend day today but am very happy with what I’ve bought. I paid out for getting a large, oddly shaped cross-stitch professionally framed. This was paid for out of some back pay and getting it framed has been a to-do for me for about 18 months. I attended my SW class today and am ready and raring for the week ahead. Have got plenty of jobs to do around the house this weekend so will probably get exercise by doing housework. I’ll sit down today or tomorrow and plan my week. My RAOK today was to pass on two car park tickets (I visited two different local towns earlier) to other drivers as there was more than an hour’s parking left so that they could save a bit.
I’m grateful for being able to afford the framing of my cross-stitch, having enough food in so we’ve only needed to buy a couple of little bits for dinners in meal plan this week and an England football match that I’m just about to watch.8 -
Got a lot done this morning, but then DH made a heavy lunch, and I fell into a carb-based coma on the sofa for 45 minutes. I know it was 45 minutes because I remember the half time chat, but missed the second half of the match and woke up for the end commentary. However, all 3 loads of laundry were dry on the line. So really I was doing the laundry ..... honest. My motivation for doing anything else has fallen off completely. The living room is lovely and tidy and I do not want to move. Grateful for: getting my run done early, doing the cleaning early, pegging out the washing while I was still interested. I am hoping my mojo will return.; Sometimes it does later on. I will try caffeine and maybe it will be my friend. Today was NSD............. One!
