Sounds perfect to me apart from the 4.45  :'(  I was up at 5.30 with my autie grandson but he goes home at 8 am and I can sleep when I want.

Yeah, I have £150 that goes into direct debits for savings accounts (£50 each for our help to save accounts and LISA) at the start of the month, so no matter what happens we'll always have that saved as a minimum. Anything on top is just a bonus!

I've had to pay £50 for a couple of books for my research project. The library is open again now but we can't borrow books and with me being so unwell it's not really feasible for me to be traipsing to the library every couple of days. We also had our discounted gousto box arrive (£28), which has been serving us well.

I spoke to the doctor again today and I've finally been referred for an endoscopy, although we have no idea how long the appointment will take. So that's good news, at least- I'm not looking forward to the actual procedure but it will be good to have more of an idea what's going on. I've been unwell for nearly 3 months now and nobody has even seen me thus far, aside from the nurse that took my blood.
  • Good news that the doctor is taking you seriously & they are investigating. I had an endoscopy 2 years ago & chose to be sedated. I didn’t feel or remember anything. Hope they offer that to you too if you don’t mind being sedated.

Are you keeping a full diary? If not, it would be worth doing so. Detail what time you got up, how you slept, how you feel throughout the day, when and what you eat, how you feel after eating and how long feelings take to pass, what and when you drink (tea, coffee, water etc), how that makes you feel, what you do and when you do it throughout the day, even down to what products you use, where things hurt and the type of pain, same with your meds. The more information you can gather, the better it helps with working out what's wrong.

Yes, that might be a good idea, it's all pretty much constant though tbh!
  • With the information, written in front of a Dr / consultant they can see exactly how bad it is. Even if it's just for a month, there's enough information to go with.

You will get bored of writing it, but the end result could be worthwhile x

    Good point!
I'm having a very cosy day today, working from bed in my pjs with one of the cats curled up beside me. Both of our cats prefer riotdude (which is totally unfair because I had them before I even met him!) but since I've been unwell one of them has been hanging out with me a lot more. riotdude is making us some red pepper soup and cheese toasties for lunch, which we'll eat while catching up on BGT.
I've also treated myself to a new dress from Boden- was £60, reduced to £30 in the sale, and then I had a £10 off voucher making it £20! I love the dresses at Boden, they feel like a much nicer quality than a lot of high street stuff and most of them have pockets.

Just paid a £50 deposit for our wedding DJ :) I've been using a spreadsheet to track the estimated costs of everything, what we've paid already in deposits and what's still left to be paid. So far we've paid £850 already, we need about £4500 to pay for budgeted items and outstanding payments, and we have £3050 in the fund, leaving us with £1450 left to save (assuming we don't go over budget on any remaining items, but I've been pretty good at sticking to it so far). The wedding isn't until August next year, so I'm hoping we'll have the full wedding fund sitting ready to go by early next year, and then all of our savings can be directed to the house deposit fund. My jam jar collection for our table decorations is looking pretty good too- we're lucky that the rustic look is "in" because it's much easier to reproduce for cheap!

I've also received £15 in love to shop vouchers today for my product testing, so I might do next week's food shopping in Iceland so I can use those.
