Everything is going pretty well here!

    - I met up with two friends for a short, socially distanced walk down the beach yesterday and a little picnic. It was a bit cold and wet but very very nice to see people in person!
    - I've been given a date for a gastroscopy on the 30th November, luckily for me it's a Monday so we only need to self-isolate over the preceding weekend and I don't need to keep mini riot off nursery.
    - My chat with my supervisor went well and I think I sounded vaguely like I know what I'm talking about, even if I still can't pronounce "phenomonological" xD
    - Iceland vouchers have been saved for another week as I've not been well enough to drive round there and we didn't want enough stuff to qualify for delivery. I sent riotdude to Aldi instead, £32.

The date will soon come round.
Isn't it strange how some words we just cannot get our tongue round!
Beach walk sounds wonderful, seeing open space and chatting with others 🤗

Thank you @savingwannabe, I’m doing the best I can :)
Yes, the beach was lovely @MovingForwards ! I always think lots of the beaches around here look better in winter than summer somehow- to me they’re moody beaches, not summer holiday ones if that makes sense at all.

I love a beach in the winter! Much quieter for one thing. I've taking bf away to the Northumberland coast in a few weeks for his 40th. I was going to take him abroad, but you know... 2020. I'm glad it went well with your supervisor :)
  • So pleased to read you are finally having that investigation, and really hope they get to the bottom of it, then you can finally move on & get the right support/meds you need. You are doing well, despite your body throwing a curve ball at you! :)

Lovely day today :) My parents came to take mini riot out for a walk and some lunch, so riotdude and I did a bit of housework and watched a horror movie together. When she came back we decorated our pumpkin and had a little dance party :) I taught her The Time Warp and she loved it!

Riotdude is currently cooking me a roast and we have a new horror game to play together tonight (can you tell we’re fans of Halloween?)

We have finished this month with £250 to the savings, £12 earned on surveys and £293 spent on groceries. I’ve also managed to finally sort how money I’m repaying to placement and have that set aside.

Been keeping an eye on the lockdown announcement. At least nurseries will be open so I can keep working on uni stuff. Getting worried about riotdude’s job though- I think he’d be one of the last to be let go at his place but at this rate the whole chain could go under, who knows.

Finance looks good and you sound perky again 😁 must be doing something right.

Try not to worry, but do try and build a safety blanket, which you are doing. At some point there will be a turning point.

Enjoy your evening, it sounds like loads of fun 🤗

riotdude has been put on flexi furlough, so will be a bit of a wage dip this month but at least job is safe for now!
Nothing much to report on my end, I've been feeling worse again the past couple of days so have been lying down a bunch. Done lots of Christmas shopping on my phone but don't feel like I've made much of a dent in my list. Half my family and my best friend are all born in November/December and I have a large family (divorced parents) so I always have about 30 presents to buy.
Poor mini riot has hit her tooth and killed the nerve, so it's turned grey. Dentist says to keep an eye on it in case it gets infected but otherwise she will just have a grey tooth until it falls out naturally.
