Try and stay positive to avoid impacting your health, I know it's hard.
That's a lot of wrapping, hopefully riotdude helps with the tape and keeping paper in place.
Poor mini riot, although it's better to happen to baby teeth than adult ones.

Try and take it easy over the next few days.

Yes haha, neither of us are particularly good wrappers so we fight over who has to do the awkward shaped ones!  :D

  • It’s nice to treat yourself with birthday money 🎁 at least you can get something you want / need. I hate wrapping. Maybe I can get away with not buying any presents this year and just give money 😆

Going the gift bag route this year! Saves lots of swearing and frustrated rustling of wrapping paper. sellotape, and trying and failing to make the pressies look nice!  :D

  • I’m so glad Uni gave you an extension. Slow and steady wins the race. Does your uni have an online repository of previous masters and PhD theses? It’s really helpful to see other people’s style and structure.

I hope you start to feel better soon and get a bit of recovery time in as well as being mummy.

Thanks everyone :) Fortunately for me @Irenadler everyone in my family is a terrible wrapper too and I can do it quickly and no one will complain it’s wonky!  :D
@DiscountDuck I don’t believe they do but part of the submission is in the form of a journal article so at least I know what they look like! (The other half is a 7000 word reflection on the research process which I am less keen on lol)

Our first help to save bonus came through so that’s £500 straight into the LISA! Very happy with that :)

We’ve also had a pretty cheap weekend, spent £25 on some books and craft things for mini riot but that’s it. We’ve stayed home and done activities here- yesterday I made a mini farm in a gardening tray with some free grass samples and leftover potting soil, I think I enjoyed it more than mini did! XD We also did some vegetable printing and with a couple of bits of leftover veg.

Another step closer with your LISA.
Have you thought about growing cress or some other micro greens, that way mini riot can see things grow and eat them, or you can 😁

Aw, sounds fun! Ooh, yes, cress - that reminds me of school where you take empty egg shells (like after you've had your boiled eggs), put the wet paper towel in the bottom, and sprinkle cress seeds. And the egg you paint or draw a face on, so, you get 'cress hair'! Ha, ha, thank you for the school flashback memories! :D
