It's really rough, what you are going through, riotlady. You are so nearly there with a diagnosis, and I sympathise, even though getting one is good, it is also bittersweet because you are having to re-adjust & adapt to what's coming. I hope you will relax and enjoy the festivities, you are lucky to have your loving little family around you....  :)<3

  • Hello my darling Riot, I hope you had a good Christmas. I know a dear friend with ME and another with MS that have had them for 20 years, the treatments have advanced so much over the years and they are able to do so much on good days. Take it easy and remember you have many friends on here. You are with your wonderful family and utterly cherished. God Bless you, SWx

  • Thank you all! What lovely messages- hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too! X

Things have been busy here with mini riot home all the time for the Christmas holidays, she’s not sleeping well and I’m trying to squeeze in work around her. Christmas was a bit quieter than normal but still nice, mini riot has had a wonderful time and is totally enamoured with my childhood dolls house, which was her main present this year.

Since it’s the end of the year I thought I’d do an overall update of where our savings are at-

    Emergency/car fund: £950/1500
    Wedding fund: £3050/4400
    House deposit: £3218/12000

Total savings = £7068 which means we’ve saved £2658 since August and I think just under £5k in 2020! I’m so pleased with that! Hoping we can top that in 2021 and very much looking forward to passing £10k saved
  • Little ones do appreciate anything they are given and hopefully she will settle soon.

    Savings look great 😃

    Happy New Year!

    Thanks all!
I love the start of a new month with a fresh budget! Gonna be a toughy as my childcare grant has run out so we’re paying for nursery in full, £740 a month and that’s with 15 hours free! Also got my MOT booked and at the very least I need my wing mirror replaced as I managed to smash it off my mums gate and it’s currently duct taped back together xD So aiming for general frugality, don’t think we’ll add much to savings this month. Got a morrisons order arriving tomorrow and hoping I can avoid the shops for a while.
