Yes, would definitely love a cleaner in the future! For now will settle for living in mild filth lol

Student finance is finally making some progress, has uploaded my application and asked for another piece of evidence which should process in another 5 working days. Fingers crossed money should come through mid Feb, so will borrow some money from the wedding fund to see us through til then and pay it back after.
In other news, I’ve lost 7lbs this month :) Haven’t spent much money except for food and a few kindle books.
I’m lagging behind a bit with uni stuff and have about 5 weeks to get everything handed in, so hoping I can get a lot done this week :)

Sounds very positive with finance and uni work.

    7lbs is impressive, congratulations!

  • Riot lady, if you want a proof reader or someone to check referencing, I’d be more than happy to help. You’re doing so well, all these steps closer to your goal are paying off!

    Cheers MF :)

    Thanks @DiscountDuck that’s a really kind offer :)

Took part in a paid focus group the other night so that’s £40 winging it’s way to my bank account :) I decided to treat myself with some of it and spent £15 on perfume samples.

I’ve been told by occupational health that I’m still not fit for placement, so that’s been pushed back again. I was hoping to start soonish and be finished by the summer but it’ll be later now. I’m disappointed but I do understand- trying to look on the bright side that it’ll give me more time to focus on getting better.

Nothing much else to report here! We’ve all had a nice day off together today, so we watched the Lion King and took mini riot in the back yard to splash in the puddles. Riotdude is making me chilli and baked potatoes for tea which is my favourite and we’ve got a new episode of The Expanse to watch tonight. Not exciting but a very happy day :)

Hurrah for focus group! Wonderful news on weight loss. Keep having good days wishing you all the best.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Surveys are like little bonuses, a nice surprise which come in handy.

Listen to Occ Health, don't push yourself as that will only set you back further. None of us want that to happen.

Everyone is pulling together and splashing in puddles is fun as is snuggling while watching TV, sounds like you did have an exciting day 🤗

Another rainy day here so we’ve been splashing in puddles again. Managed a little walk with mini riot so I’m pleased with that, although I’m totally wiped now! We had a roast dinner for lunch and I spent a good hour reading with mini, which was lovely :) She’s SO into books at the moment and I’ve always been a bookworm, so it’s a lovely thing to bond over (and hopefully makes up a little bit for all the active play I can’t do!) Since we can’t access the library atm I’ve decided to trial a subscription box for her- 6 second hand children’s books for £10 a month. We’ll see how it goes!

I’ve also packaged up some of our old books for Ziffit, they’re collecting on Monday.

Glad you went out with Mini Riot, books are such a treat. It sounds like you had a good day.

  • Mini Riot will appreciate the time spent with her, rather than what you actually did. There's loads of things you can do inside, with the occasional outside trips when you feel up to it. The subscription sounds good.

The subscription box sounds interesting. I would have loved that as a child, I've always been a big reader. Well done on the weight loss!
