That's good savings from not much coming in.
Leave the cleaning to RD, concentrate on your deadline, that's priority, the housework can wait.
Happy anniversary! Can't go wrong with pie and chips 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Well unexpected windfall this morning! I’m in the unluckiest cohort of allied health students, because I started my course after they cancelled the bursary and before they reinstated it two years later. There was word on the bursary website that people who extended their course might be eligible for some bursary this year and that they would send out information. Well they haven’t given me any info, but they have put £4K in my account! I’m chuffed! So that leaves the emergency fund on £1k, the christmas/birthday/car fund on £1k and the wedding fund fully topped up to £4500, so all savings for the rest of the year can be channelled into our LISA for the house deposit.4

I'm so pleased for you 🤗
Your pots are growing and your LISA will fatten up quickly now!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thank you!
We each needed some new clothes so I decided as a treat I would upgrade us and buy a slightly nicer version than I usually would, instead of ebay/asda/matalan. So mini riot has her new spring coat from Frugi, riotdude has some work trousers and I have a new cardigan, all about £40 each.

Hurrah for bursary and for your great savings and lovely clothes. Both you and Skinty need to rest to get your strength back. Please try to rest and not worry, if you are rested you will work faster when you start without the exhaustion.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Thanks everyone! Hope you’re feeling a bit more rested @Skint_yet_Again
I managed to get a decent bit of work done yesterday and today, although I still needed an afternoon nap today. I keep catching sight of myself in the window or mirror and thinking I look awful! xD Pasty face, unbrushed hair and massive dark circles. 10 days til my deadline so in the final push now!Riotdude is working tonight so I’m going to have boiled egg and soldiers in front of the telly and get an early night. He’s agreed to take charge of mini tomorrow until 2, so I’m going to spend the morning in the bedroom trying to do some more work.Mini riot’s new coat arrived today and it’s adorable! Although it actually snowed this morning, so she’s remaining in her winter coat for now. Also ordered my mum a top (£19) and a cookbook (£10) for Mother’s Day.2
