Thanks everyone
Received £10.74 from ziffit for some books today, every little helps! We’ve overspent on groceries this month but the overall budget is ok as we’ve underspent in other areas. I could spend less if I went to Aldi instead of getting a delivery, or bought less easy cook stuff, but with me being ill I feel like I value saving energy over saving money in this case. Plus we’ve been eating pretty healthy and I’m still slowly but steadily losing weight, so all good things!I’m feeling really rough today so spent the morning in bed and I’m currently lying on the sofa. I did manage a fun weekend with mini riot though, and I can see some teeny tiny improvements in what I’m able to do.Focus for the next few weeks is on my research project, three weeks until the deadline!3 -
Can't turn your nose up at some pocket money!
If your books balance each month, then they are working well for you.
Have as much rest as you can, get through your project and have even more rest. Please do not over do it.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Rest is the key and working with lots of breaks my lovely. Hope you are able to enjoy the weather a bit today. The sun is shining here. I forgot what it looked like. lolAiming for a minimal spend 20222

Yes, definitely trying to fit in plenty of rest time. It's totally antithetical to my usual way of working, which is to leave everything to the last minute and then power through at extreme speed xD
Car insurance success today! My initial renewal quote was £655 from my current insurer. I found a quote for £499 on comparison websites, called my insurer back up and have managed to get it for £360 with breakdown cover included. Not a bad saving for an hours legwork!3 -
Change is as good as a rest RL! That's a nice saving on the insurance 😃Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2

Yes, I told my (younger) sister and she responded “that’s such a good deal for only one year driving! Is it because you’re old?”Charming4

Well we managed to save £600 last month, that was £240 out of our regular monthly budget and £260 from my student finance- it’s paid roughly every 4 months so I always set it aside to “pay” myself £1000 a month until my next payment, and then any excess goes to savings. We’re still behind where we were at the start of the year, but catching up!Saturday was lovely as I took mini riot to the park and we bumped into a friend of hers from nursery. Unfortunately I also tried to do some cleaning in the afternoon and definitely pushed it too far, so have been feeling awful and largely immobile since then. Two weeks to my deadline so I’ve got to keep powering through but I’m starting to feel the stress!Today is mine and riotdude’s anniversary, four years! We agreed to skip cards and presents as we’re both a bit lazy with this stuff and I’d rather save the money for our wedding and house. We can’t go anywhere either, so we’re just going to have a night in front of the telly and treat ourselves to a nice pudding after dinner (steak pie and chips, my favourite). What a glamorous life we lead3
