Excellent budgeting! I love a spreadsheet.
I really like the homemade wedding decorations. My friend did hers that way and it felt so much more personal and reflected their interests nicely.

    Thanks guys! :)

We’ve had another lovely day weekend here- I’m really treasuring the family time and all of the Autumnal vibes at the moment. Riotdude has been working all weekend so it’s just been me and mini riot hanging out. Yesterday we went to my parents, which is always a bargain of an outing as not only did my dad buy us fish and chips for lunch but my mum sent us home with some leftover soup and stew xD They live quite rurally so mini riot got to go out and see some tractors going past, which made her day, and of course my mum stuffed her with chocolate and biscuits too!

This morning mini riot was up at 6am so we had pretty much played with every toy in the house by 10. We went for a little jaunt to Aldi to get some bread to go with the soup my mum gave me and picked up some other essentials, including the LAST pumpkin! He’s a good size but somewhat misshapen, and we’ve christened him Stanley. So that was £7.20 altogether. This afternoon we played in the very wet back yard and then mini riot had a very long bath so I could sit on the toilet lid and read my book for a bit of peace xD

I’ve got some leftover Mac and cheese for my tea tonight once mini riot is in bed,    I might treat myself to the sequel of the book I finished earlier on my kindle.

That is another good weekend and it's great Mini Riot gets to experience a totally different lifestyle.

    You sound refreshed today 😊

Yes, I'm feeling a bit brighter @MovingForwards ! Hanging out with mini riot is always a great cure for the grumps.
I've got a meeting with my project supervisor on Wednesday so I'm trying to get the last of my transcription done and also remind myself of the data analysis methodology I said I'd do back when I wrote my proposal 18 months ago! xD The house was utterly trashed over the weekend but I'm just going to put my head down and ignore it for a few days- riotdude says he'll sort some of it out but his standards are not my standards (and my standards are really not very high at all).
Nothing exciting to report money-wise. I spent £40 on riotdude's birthday present this morning. I've overspent on general shopping and household stuff this month but underspent on food and entertainment (nowhere to go!) so it should balance out ok. I have £39 in the budget to last me until the end of the month, which should be totally fine thanks to our Iceland voucher. Next month we get the first of our help to save bonuses, which will be very exciting indeed!

Even if riotdude's efforts are not to your standard, it chips away at it and you can go in and do it to your standard.
Your budget should last as it's not long until month end 😁

  • Well done on getting the last pumpkin 🎃 Don't stress about the housework. No one is visiting anymore these days so it’s not like anyone is going to see it! 😁 Well done on budgeting. I had some of those vouchers earlier in the year & spent them in Iceland on food too. I was surprised how much I got for the money and how many shelf basics they do. It wasn’t as cheap as Aldi but it was free with the voucher 😊
