Thanks everyone
I am feeling a bit better today, so far have had a cereal bar and managed to keep it down!
Definitely not pregnant, that was my first thought when all this started so I’ve taken lots of tests! Lol
riotdude is indeed an absolute gem, he’s been great at looking after me.
Im giving myself another day off today, gonna sort some washing and chill out.3 -
I just walked mini riot to nursery in her new winter coat and it’s so puffy and she’s so little, she looks like the Michelin man in it
Anyway, I’m going to try and ease myself back into a few tasks today:
- Do a load of washing + sort yesterday’s load
- Wash my hair
- Transcribe 10 minutes of interview audio
- Empty bins2 -
How cute! I'm showing my age but the marshmallow man from ghost busters just popped into my head 🙈
Work through your tasks on the basis of which gives you more pleasure / satisfaction, then if you don't do them all, you still feel positive xMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I like that approach @MovingForwards!
I’ve managed the bins and washing, and 5 minutes of audio transcribed and I’m pretty wiped so I think that’s me done for the day. Gonna have a nice bubble bath tonight and attempt to sort my hair.
One of my best friends popped round unexpectedly for a doorstep chat and to drop off some jam jars (I’m collecting them for wedding centre pieces) and some cupcakes that she madeIt was lovely to see her in person, even if we couldn’t have a hug! Then about an hour later I had a delivery of some cute little chocolates and a nice note from another of my best friends who recently moved away. The three of us + another friend are a really close group and talk every week, and I’m just so lucky to have them in my life. No matter how rubbish I feel, I have a lot of love in my life and I’m very grateful for it

You did a lot, hopefully you will get your bubbles later 🤗
How lovely to get jars, cakes and chocolate. Good friends are hard to find and it's great you're speaking regularly.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
We’re having a good weekend here
Yesterday we walked down and had a browse in the shops, didn’t buy anything except a sausage roll and a cookie for mini riot from Greggs (£1.80) Then we spent the afternoon watching Britain’s Got Talent and playing with playdo. I also got a Halloween costume for mini riot off eBay- £3.40 plus £1.50 delivery.
Today we’re trying to use up all our leftovers so riotdude has made a lovely big batch of carrot and coriander soup and I’ve made an apple crumblemini riot is having an unexpected nap (she doesn’t usually have them anymore) because she woke up at 4.45 this morning!!
I don’t think we’re going to be able to save as much this month as last due to less income (and a bit of Christmas shopping!) but we’re still pretty on track with our budget.3 -
Sounds like a wonderful weekend and just what you needed.
Mini riot is going to look adorable 🤗
Don't worry about saving how you normally would. The main thing is trying to put something away, no matter how small.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2
