I last had a bank account with them in 2014 and was closed in 2016 so my understanding is I am ok for the bonus. So I applied last night and everything went through with no issues. Received text to day switch has started. However the only problem I have I do not know how to marry up my HX cc account online with the new bank account rather than two separate logins.  Does anyone know how you do this please.

The instructions online state go to Service tab and select manage Account but can not find this on my home page. Any help appreciated. Thanks
I phoned their internet desk this am and they advised can take up to 2 days to marry up the two accounts online. However just checked and has already been rectified. Excellent service!

Have managed to open a new Reward account but struggling to complete the switch request - keeps throwing up a 'Technical Problem'. Hopefully it's not just because they don't accept hyphens in the Name field...
I was having the same porblrm when trying to do it on a mobile device.  It worked on my laptop.

    - Who's eligible for the £100? You can't currently have a Halifax bank account and can't have had a switching bonus from it since April 2018.

I have a regular saver with Halifax, will this make me ineligible for the reward? Nothing mentioned in the T&C's so i guess it's what is defined as a 'bank account'.........

**Edit - After a proper read of the thread can see this has already been adressed. Time to apply!**

Would making a £500 deposit to NS&I income bonds with the debit card qualify as the spending requirement for the rewards?

Good question. I was thinking the same thing myself.
    Does anyone know please?

Hm I'll try a different browser, then maybe give them a call tomorrow. Just worried that now the account is 'open' the eligibility for switch offer is a bit iffy...

Yes I have found out that Halifax will class it as a debit card spend to qualify for the £5 reward.

I have an instant access savings account with Metro bank. Can this be switched or does it have to be a current account?

Providing the Reward account was opened on or after the 4th August and you start your switch on or before 14th September, you'll meet the eligibility criteria.

Unsurprisingly, the Current Account Switching Service cannot be used to switch a savings account.
