I assume switching and old BOS Classic Current account to a new Halifax Reward Current account is admissible? Slightly concerned as they are part of same group and the BOS Classic Current account shows up when I log in to my Halifax accounts.

Just tried to apply and frustratingly when I get to the stage of entering my previous home address, I can enter any country in the world but the ‘England’ and ‘UK’ options aren’t available. I give up - if they can’t get their application process sorted then I’m not trusting them with my cash!0

It has been mentioned that the terms and conditions state that you can only have one sole Reward account but if you start the application for a new account, you get the message:
"Open a new Reward Current Account – you can open a secondary account with us to help manage your money."
and a button to open a second account.
My OH and I have opened second sole accounts and applied to transfer existing Bank of Scotland accounts to them. I can't see anything that says you can't do this and the switches are going through on 13 August. Time will tell if we receive the bonus.3 -
I've made a bit of a mess of this. I'm temporarily staying with my mum and dad due to the whole Covid thing. Thought it would be best to open a Reward account with my permanent address, in case it flagged up that I don't have a record of living at my parents' address and asked me to send proof of address for here (which I don't have). Opened the account yesterday and requested to switch from my Starling account. This morning I got a text from Halifax saying that the switch couldn't be progressed - called them and realised I'd forgotten that I'd previously updated my address on the Starling app to my parents' so that any post would reach me in the short term. The addresses didn't match, which is why the switch failed.
So I then opened another Reward account with my parents' address (which should match Starling's records) and requested the switch again - to my surprise the account opened successfully. Hoping I'll still receive the bonus as the other switch failing meant I won't have received one already. After opening the second account I also received an error message saying they weren't able to send me a debit card - not sure if this is related but should be something I can sort out once I (hopefully) receive the bonus.
This also means I'm in the situation where I have two sole Reward accounts - planning to downgrade one to a standard account after I've (again, hopefully) had the bonus come through.
All this for the sake of 100 measly quid. Need to get a life.0 -

CRISPIANNE3 said:I last had a bank account with them in 2014 and was closed in 2016 so my understanding is I am ok for the bonus. So I applied last night and everything went through with no issues. Received text to day switch has started. However the only problem I have I do not know how to marry up my HX cc account online with the new bank account rather than two separate logins. Does anyone know how you do this please.
The instructions online state go to Service tab and select manage Account but can not find this on my home page. Any help appreciated. Thanks1 -

ETA Lloyds is a separate banking licence so should qualify IMO.2
