Umkomaas said:1. The SAR should go to UKPC, not CST. Ask for all personal data held about you and your vehicle's VRM.2. Only personal data, you won't get copies of contracts or signage, don't waste time asking for those.3. No, you're not at that stage.4. Pointless at this stage.5. Leave it until later, especially if you're asking for a 30-day delay for seeking 'debt advice' - kicks the can much further down the road. Respond using the advice in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, on how to deal with a LBC.There's no further advice other than to keep reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, which covers the entire court process ..... and await a real claim coming through - if it ever does, then start your own thread.
Thanks very much for the advice. I will amend and send end of this week, kicking the can all the way. Thanks to all who have taken the time to give advice on this forum too.1 -

Good afternoon
I have received a letter from CST Law on behalf of UK Parking Control Ltd.
I didn't receive anything from the original company.
A copy of the letter is attached.
Beamerguy - I would be grateful if you could forward the template letter that you respond with please.
Thank you.
Just another dose of utter crap from CST ?
When will these brave boys actually follow through .... time now for the SRA0 -
There really is no need for new posters to show us the same old, same old, letters (please stop). Nothing is different.
This is a group thread for a reason. It covers all these boring letters and what to do about them (depending if in Scotland or not) is fully covered already. All new people arriving here need to do, is get a cuppa, sit down and read all 29 pages...

Evening all,
I have had a response from PALS outlining reasons why they say that can't help me. See below.
I have liaised with our estates department and they have confirmed that they have no recorded contact from you regarding the parking ticket you received 4 years ago.
I am sorry to say that that our estates department have stated that due to the length of time this has gone far beyond the usual appeal and debt recovery route and the trust can’t assist with this parking charge. The trust has no influence in any appeal other than supplying the driver/UKPC with supporting evidence which is usually in the drivers favour.
The estates department advice would be that you deal directly with the current debt recovery company and try to compromise with them before it does go to court. However, due to the timescale the trust estate department would not be able to confirm many details you as it was a long time ago and that would involve personal records disclosure.
I am sorry that the trust has been unable to assist you with your parking ticket.
Is there anything that I should be challenging regarding this response or not?
Thanks

Just wait to see what UKPC's next move is. Unlikely to come via CST as SCS Solicitors are UKPC's litigation poodles. They rarely bother suing for amounts less than £600.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Email that person back and ask for a SAR from the Estates Department so you can see the email discussion about you and all records held about your car and how far back they go. Remind them that the GDPR says that a reply to a SAR must involve all your personal data records held (in this case you only want the records held by the Estates Dept over the years, about you and your permit(s) and car(s) registered) and that they have 30 days to supply it, free of charge. Tell them if the Estates Dept are unsure they should ask the Data Protection Officer for guidance on what must be supplied.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

PALS should be informed what is going on and that is why it is taking years to complain.
Even PALS could understand that a company like UKPC who will be desperate for money right now due to covid. Someone like coupon-mad should be telling them ?
Umkomaas makes a very good point ...... SCSLaw are the poodle of UKPC but they had a major car crash recently ?
It is firmly believed that of course, due to their desperation, UKPC are simply using CST as a free letter sender. CST have fallen for it, hence the rubbish letters from CST
Can't help but feel that the poodle may have suggested that UKPC use CST as a freebie and CST fell for it hook line and sinker ...... what else to do in lockdown. ?
Sad CST, you have been caught out with the scam.
WHY ARE UKPC SO DESPERATE ??? Pictures speak a thousand words

Think it's fair to say CST ..... someone is taking the p*ss out of you ?1 -
It's got to be crunch time for CST
CST is only a trading name for Credit Style.
Credit Style are CSA members. . QUESTION: Do the CSA allow their members to scam the general public ?

Hi all!
So I received a "Letter Before Claim" CST LAW letter as others have on here. I sent a SAR to UKPC as advised and an email to CST Law a number of days ago. I recently received a reply from UKPC from their Data Protection Dept with the documents I requested (Photographs of vehicle, Notice Charge Copy, Notice to Keeper, DVLA Data etc). The issue is I did not own the vehicle at the time of the offence. Now either the DVLA didn't receive my notice of keeper change (V5) or it wasn't processed etc. When the notice of this first came through back in 2017 I made them aware that I no longer owned the vehicle and sent them the new owner details from the receipt of sale. It's been 4 years and now they're bringing it back up and now say I owe £175.00. I think not!
I need some advice on my next move please if possible, as I have read the thread but it doesn't explain this particular circumstance.
Thanking you in anticipation.
