Back from Spain last night, had a fab time! No issues @ Luton, only 4 flights in front of us, 1/2 of duty free open, boots, sports direct and a coffee stand. Flight on time, about 4 rows of empty seats to Malaga. On arrival @ Malaga airport was through pp control in 5 mins and then the Covid station which besides us had no other passengers there, walked upto the nurses desk, our temperatures was taken as we did so, scanned QR code and welcome to Spain! Loads of medical staff standing around with nothing to do. No one in car rental so got served straight away.
45 min drive to Benajarfe, stopped for dinner (amazing fish) beach front restaurant, staff were all masked but customers didn't need to but were (and us) were putting them on if walking to the toilet.
Villa was ace, pool to die for. Everyone in Spain is wearing a mask, no mask no entry, no messing about. Even the power walkers on the seafront had them on, felt very safe (more so than the UK). So good 2 of our party are going back in two weeks for £116 return. 115 days till Egypt.....

Villa Sol, Niza Beach , Benajarafe
Relax in your private home with pool surrounded by walled garden, sunshine and multicoloured bouganvillas in a rural setting and minutes walk to beach. privacy, Spain at its best.
The owner (Australian) lives next door and is great fun and very helpful. The Villa has lots of history too going back to the civil war.2 -

My plans for Menorca (May and Sept/Oct) now have the chances of a concrete submarine, and it looks like campsites (Devon, etc) are pretty much booked up. Ah well...Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!0

I almost booked a week in Ikos Andalucia for September last week, but I had a couple of questions and was doing some area research before finalising the booking. Good job I didn't go ahead. UK holidays would be great but for the depressing weather.0
