Simon Calder telling us Jet 2 are still flying punters out to mainland Spain contrary to FO advice.Doesn't seem a responsible decision in the circumstances.

Our positioning flight to Arlanda on BA has now been cancelled, our Qantas flight has been moved and with being able to apply for a refund on SIA, we’ve cancelled the lot and requested refunds. We’ve cancelled all the hotels we’ve booked too. The only outstanding issue is Virgin Australia flights booked for early October, we will wait on news for those flights but as they went into administration, we may have to request a chargeback.ginger_chocolate said:
I'd take the refund personally. You can always stick it into a sperate bank account and earmark it as the "Australia money" for when you feel more confident making the booking. Although if your experience is anything like mine the refund will take a while to come through!lady1964 said:SIA have now updated their policy for dates which include our date of departure, we can request flight credits to use by December ‘21 or request a refund. We will definitely want to make a trip to Australia as soon as we can but should we be wary of taking flight credits just in case there’s still an issue with entry into the country?2 -
We have Virgin flights to New York booked for the end of October and we want to cancel, but I suspect we will have wait till much nearer the time and hope that the travel ban is still in place.0

Did Jet 2 give customers scheduled to fly to mainland Spain after the government's weekend decision the option to cancel with right to claim refund before changing their mind about operating holidays there after all ?Clients would not be too happy at having to go there against FO advice thereby invalidating travel insurance.0

Just had the final nail hammered into our 2020 holidays coffin. Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines have cancelled all departures up to 6th November, which is the day we were due to set sail for Caribbean
. In some ways it feels like a relief that the decision is now out of our hands. 2 -
You'll be disappointed - but It's better to have a decision made rather than linger on undecided.

Well hopefully you will get your money back for HOPEFULLY a holiday next year.badger09 said:Just had the final nail hammered into our 2020 holidays coffin. Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines have cancelled all departures up to 6th November, which is the day we were due to set sail for Caribbean

Thanks all. Obviously disappointed but I'm actually really thankful that FOC have cancelled now rather than leave us guessing right up to the last minute.
We've enjoyed all our cruises with them, and because of the way they have treated us this year, despite frustrating refund process back in March when cruise cancelled with 15 days notice, we will definitely cruise with them again - Covid/insurance/health etc permitting. Paid a relatively small deposit & they postponed further payments, so will leave it with them until things become clearer.1 -
Nice to see someone taking a sensible and loyal take on the situation rather than the usual " Help i have been robbed/scammed/etc "badger09 said:Thanks all. Obviously disappointed but I'm actually really thankful that FOC have cancelled now rather than leave us guessing right up to the last minute.
