If the administrators come to the conclusion that you owed Tonik on failure date ,then they will raise a final bill, and if other failures are anything to go by, the administrators will employ debt collectors to harass ex customers !!!Thanks for replying. I didn't realise I would be dealing with Scottish Power. I thought as I wasn't transferring to them I would have to deal with the Administrators direct. I hope I don't have to register on the Scottish Power website.According to the Tonik/Administrators very recent recalculation of the several times recalculated bills I am £135 in credit. The problem is I don't understand the recalculations. The balance is probably about right as my DD is only £45 per month. I don't know why they can't produce a bill for each reading, carrying the balance forward to the following month. I understood all my energy bills produced by every supplier until Tonik had their billing system upgrade. Since then the charges range from £22 to £713 and have been recalculated several times.I'm starting to believe that I should just accept their figures and demand a final bill - that they say is final - up to the date I left and just close the lid on Tonik. It goes against the grain to allow them to get away with confusing me with their convoluted billing.Should I accept their figures and move on and preserve my sanity.

For example ,a supplier I was transferred to ,as a result of a failure, tried to get me to accept a carried forward credit ~ £10 less than I calculated was due. Almost two years later, they have got themselves in such a mess that I've ended up by over £200 including various compensation awards!!0 -
I have been trying to get them to provide monthly bill breakdowns since the first bulk bill was provided back in April. I think they have worn me down. I have no idea what is happening with my super complaint to the Ombudsman. The only good news is my move to Octopus and the £50 x 2 referral credits I should be getting shortly. How will Scottish Power produce my final bill and refund the credit. Do I have to register on their website to enable this to happen.

I'm one of many ex Toxic Energy customers who got fed up with them and moved before the collapse. I had a case with the Ombudsman for money owed to me. That has now gone mammeries up with the Ombudsman telling me to keep an eye on the news for the name of the Administrators in this case and it's my duty to contact them and present my case. Toxic owe millions so what chance have I got ....... diddly squat. Toxic you're thieving scum.

Frankly this scenario just goes to show how useless OFGEM and the regulator are. Maybe not their own fault and maybe they are just working to their statutory remit, but they have been so ineffective to date!Tonik have been teetering on the brink financially since January 2020 at least. Since then they have continued to take on new business and it is not until Tonik have defaulted on their renewables obligations that OFGEM have taken action. Now OFGEM and the Ombudsman wash their hands of the whole thing to allow Scottish Power and a new administrator (when appointed) deal with the mess.Judging by the many anecdotal reports on social media, the accounting records are probably completely broken and it will be a painstaking exercise for customer balances to be properly reconciled and agreed. It is to be hoped that any debt collecting is done in a conciliatory way rather than send the pitbulls in.The regulations really do need to be tightened up to stop Billy and his mate getting an energy license for their off the shelf company and give OFGEM a much more proactive role in the way they monitor companies.2

Extract from the above link.
Question: I have an existing complaint with Tonik Energy. Will ScottishPower now investigate this for me?
Answer: Any complaints remain with Tonik Energy and their appointed Administrators.
