  • @dosh37 there is a probably another Avro thread on here - so do a search.  I always find this Citizen Advice compare customer service useful - https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/how-citizens-advice-works/citizens-advice-consumer-work/supplier-performance/energy-supplier-performance/compare-domestic-energy-suppliers-customer-service/
  • Just had email from BG Evolve saying I'm getting £30 credit because of the delay in switch from SP even though it was SP's fault. Never asked for it.
  • Well it seems my switch has completed so it's time to look to move. I was looking at Shell before i found out Tonik ceased but who knows what's best in the 2 months that have passed.

I'm currently trying to calculate my useage for the year. My electricity is simple enough. 78337 was the start reading and 81892 was the end so 3555kwh for the year.
I've recently learned through this site that gas isn't as simple. Mine is a m3 meter.

Looking at my bill i started out at 20239 for gas and finished up as 21175. If i've done it right then that's 10370kwh for the year.

    Correct?

Need to know as obviously when you go to switch you get asked.

Sounds about right provided that it's a metric meter.  But adding up the kWh from a year's worth of bills will give the answer.

@JustAnotherSaver - have a look at your Personal  Projection on your Tonik bills - just right of Your Energy Statement title - Your personal projection for electricity over the next 12 months is £xx and 1,708kWh. Your personal projection for gas over the next 12 months is £xx and 15,478kWh - I picked the highest one and factored in an increase due working from home...obviously don't pick your final bill...oh wow just discovered I'm an m3 meter too - well I never - you learn something new everyday - ha ha!!
  • Well. SP have failed to respond from the exec office in the timeframe they promise....so that's another complaint...and I've also checked my bank account, I now have 3 SP direct debits all with different account numbers. This thing is a complete mess.
Guys check your bank accounts and DD's!!!
  • oh and logging into my account on SP, it must be my old account when I use to be with them as the account number doesn't match any of the Account Numbers on the 3 direct debits. This is a complete and utter shambles! The regulator should be coming down hard on all this crap!
  • Anyone got feedback on PFP Energy? Not about to go bump are they? LOL

@funkyfin2000 - oh wow, I wonder if the issue with your SP account number is the cause for their delayed reply?  Hope you're chasing them.  Another place I like to review energy suppliers is trustpilot - https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/pfpenergy.co.uk - there's no mention of PFP issues on Ofgem's news updates... I hope Ofgem really do take onboard our feedback for future...

Trustpilot is a complete waste of space.  Many of the reviews are obviously fake, either posted by the relevant company saying how wonderful it is, or by a competitor saying how dreadful is.  Many companies get adverse reviews taken down very quickly.
Just compare its Fischer Future Heat rating ('Excellent'') with the reviews on MSE and you'll soon see the difference !
The energy company ratings on Citizens Advice are probably much more accurate.
