Cancelled my parking and at the time they said I would get a refund minus costs- which I wa happy with. Waited over a month for the refund and now they are saying it is a Force Majeur Event and are no longer issuing refunds only vouchers.  An they do this after pro using a refund initially?

    Hi Rosie,
No they can't do it, the link below explains why.

  • I have the same issue with Holiday Extras. I paid For a hotel and parking for our holiday and they said the same, first they were refunding and now only vouchers which we do not want. .

My CC company have accepted my claim for holiday extras,  now just a waiting game.

(MODS might be better to merge the holiday extra threads)

I've raised it as a Dispute and apparently if I do not get any joy with that it will be raised as a Section 75. Hope this helps

Thanks,  it has to be over £100 for a S75
Good luck with claim, let us know how you get on.

Seems credit card companies raise  it as a chargeback in the first instance and see it the retailer accepts that. (easy way)
If they dispute it then it's a S75 if over £100

  • Hi,

Book 4 x flights to New York last October for mid May via Travel Trolley with United Airlines

Obviously just under 5 weeks away, so not likely to be looked at yet, but to be prepared (mainly cos I need the money!!), I looked on United Airlines website & saw it has already been cancelled and we have a travel voucher.
I'm not wanting a voucher for a number of reasons
    a) it was a one-off family holiday that may not be possible due to work/University etc..
    b) United airlines may not be the best value flights if we wanted to rebook (as well as the fact that the flights will likely be more expensive)
    c) I need the money anyway

I've got travel insurance through my Nationwide Flex+ account and I paid with a credit card (mainly as I booked just after the Thomas Cook collapse), so what's the best way of making sure I get a refund and not lumbered with vouchers?
