Holiday Extras/ Purple Parking issuing vouchers and not a refund as promised

I've always had to pay a fee to HE if I needed to cancel a parking only booking, either when I booked (£1.50 to cover cancellation) or when I cancelled (£10.50) deducted from by refund.bradders1983 said:I have booked parking with Holiday Extras and there is also the option to pay NONE of these.

Just took a look at my booking for them in August. The cancel option for APH at Birmingham Airport means I forfeit the lot, no mention of them refunding minus £10.50.Life__Goes__On said:

Unless I am reading it wrong?

What do you reckon?

I'm a bit confused.
I booked parking + hotel with Purple Parking for departure on 23 April. Total cost was £210, paid fully on Credit Card. I did not take cancellation insurance.
I have received an email from Purple Parking cancelling my booking, but only offering me a voucher (not a refund) as it was a "non-flexible booking".
My understanding (perhaps incorrectly) is that "non-flexible" meant that I could not amend/cancel the booking. However, as it is Purple Parking who have cancelled, I should be eligible for a refund.
Am I correct? If so, is it likely that I may need to try a Section 75 claim if Purple Parking refuse a refund?

Strange as I just book the cheapest and never have paid to have it cancellable, just pay the fee at the end if I do cancel.

I reckon that looks like APH not Holiday Extras, can you cancel via HE?bradders1983 said:What do you reckon?

If they cancelled you are due a cash refund. A Chargeback will be quicker than a S75GabbaGabbaHey said:I'm a bit confused.

Normally with a Chargeback the money is returned once it’s processedThe PP can dispute the Chargeback, but it must supply evidence to the card company.
If the PP is successful, then the Chargeback is reversed and the money taken from your account
If that fails then it's a Section 75 on the credit card.

They must have a different agreement with APH car parks, than others (didn't know that)
As I've used them for Liverpool, Manchester, East Mids, Birmingham (not APH),Luton can all cancellable (with some fee)
That's why I used HE.
Just need to find a new company for future bookings, and beware of non cancellable bookings.
