  • I have a holiday booked for 25 July to Fuerteventura. We have paid £1000 off the balance of £3600, which will be taken off our credit card on May 15th. My wife has serious heart conditions and a pacemaker, so we'd rather not go, but we can't get in touch with Jet2.

We're happy to forfeit the £240 deposit, and cancel now if we could. But would we get our remaining £800 back?

As far as I can see we'll have to pay in full and pray it's cancelled, but to be honest we need the money to live now.

    Anyone offer any advice please?

Yes of course you would get it back.
Maybe not instantly due to workloads though.
  • My wife had a return flight booked to Grenoble on 11 April, return 18 April 2020, Jet2 cancelled the flights in 15 March following closure of ski resorts in France. She had 3 emails confirming that they would refund her money but to be patient as they were dealing with cancellations in date order, my wife has been patient and waited for Jet2 to contact her. This morning she had an email from Jet2 which stated that she had cancelled flight and that they were a non refundable airline. Looking on the Jet2 Twitter and Facebook pages it appears he is not the only one to receive this email. She replied to the email and also tweeted Jet2 to which she got a response asking for her details, but nothing else. Anyone else had this email? What are Jet2 up to?

We booked a flight from Manchester to Split for 5 May (one way, flying back with EasyJet, who are giving us the identical runaround) and had a cancellation email on 7 April that only offers a request for our patience. It's impossible to make meaningful contact to get a refund - the phone line is closed, and all online forms appear to have vanished. I'm out of work right now and really need my money back. Rebooking isn't an option as our island-hopping trip took a lot of planning for accommodations and ferries as well as flights. I am in despair right now.
  • I booked flights direct with Jet2 for 11/4/20. I got an email in March saying they had cancelled and refunds would be issued then 2 further holding emails saying an options email would follow. I did not an options email.   Today I received an email with a letter attachment for insurance purposes saying that the flights are non refundable. Has anyone else had this?

They are working down the backlog in date order , your flight in June will be a long way down.

Some companies are employing 3rd parties to process refunds.

It's in May, not June. Only 2 weeks away. On the 5th, as I wrote in my OP.

Has anybody managed to get through to them? I've had a holiday cancelled and their phone lines are closed. The sceptic in me makes me think they appear to be delaying with the hope new legislation will mean they do not have to give refunds? I want a refund but can not talk to anyone. Anyone had any luck?
  • Hi, I’m due to travel July 3rd. Heard jet 2 are beginning to start flights again June 18th. If I don’t feel comfortable travelling so soon, even though the airline/ holidays back on, can I ask for a refund or delay my holiday with them till later in the year?
