I have a holiday booked with jet 2 leaving on 16th july 2020. I have paid the deposit of 420 and the balance is due on 2nd may 2020. Jet 2 are saying flights and holidays will resume on 17th june 2020. The FCO are advising no travel indefinately. Am i able to claim back my deposit now and cancel the holiday. Jet 2 site is saying if i cancel now i will lose the deposit. What is my best way forward.
Wait.  If you cancel, you'll lose your deposit.  Wait until they cancel and you can get a refund.

we booked return flights from Alicante to Leeds/Bradford and back.  The second leg, from Leeds to Alicante,  was cancelled by Jet2 due to the civid 19 outbreak the day before the due flight.  We then had to book a flight from Manchester to Alicante for the day after which cost us an extra £100 pus hotel costs and a taxi to the airport.  Jet2 have offered to refund the initail cost of the return leg (£222-00).  Is this all we are entitled to?

Given that it was cancelled due to a pandemic, I'd probably say they were in the clear - I'd seek a refund from your travel insurance for any out of pocket expenses; that's what it's there for. :)

jet2 have confirmed all flights grounded until 17 june ,  if my flights were late May, how do i get a refund ?  the telephone number is permanenty engaged, only option online is to rebook for next year but due to finances i would rather get a refund ?
My flights were due on 26th April. I received the usual emails about cancellation, but decided to wait until they called me. I did notice last week that the booked flights were removed from Jet2 account. I was doing some admin this morning, and realised they had refunded my credit card on the 30th March. I didnt receive an email about this.
  • Had our holiday to Portugal cancelled by Jet 2 via text on Monday 16th March. They said money would be paid back into my account in 28 days. No contact since and the 28 days has now passed and they still have my £1050. I can find no obvious way of contacting them as seem only to be working  on forthcoming cancellations. Appreciate they are busy and this is not their fault but it is a grand of my money and I would like it back. Anybody experiencing same or suggestions how to contact them?
  • Ive received the jet2 email stating my holiday on 12th June is cancelled. I want a full refund but jet2 are not taking any calls and say they’ll be in touch regarding my options nearer the time, however a full refund doesn’t appear to be one of the options available. There is no obvious way you can contact them to discuss anything. The options available on their website exclude a full refund request too.
Looks like they’re milking every last drop of interest out of our money.
Is this legal, can they refuse to refund in full ??

They are dealing with the refunds in date order , so those in march first , and then working forward towards June

So at some point nearer June , with a skeleton staff until this is all over , they will contact you
