We also have travel insurance and of course I put the holiday on a credit card, so we have got a three pronged approach if needs be, but I'm hoping it won't be necessary and we will get the refund from them without too much trouble.
A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -
I have had to travel 6 trips abroad with SAS / Jet2 / Turkish / Lufthansa / Ryanair and EasyJet. No problem with speaking to the other operators to cancel flights but EasyJet just cut you off when you phone and don't even allow you to queue! It is a farce. Eventually I found a form on their FaceBook site which allowed me to submit a refund request. Why isn't this an option when you review your booking on their Website or App?

Well after I decided to get my CC company involved I have had an email from Easyjet stating my refund is being processed, coincidence? Apparently their next correspondence will be the outcome of the request.0

I think easyjet deserve a bit of credit. Yes, getting a refund is difficult mainly due to the large numbers involved. However, at least Easyjet are giving refunds which is more than you can say for a lot of travel businesses who seem happy to break the law....0

We have tried all of the phone numbers suggested with no joy. Does anyone know of an e mail that gets a response, or any other advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Pleasantly surprised to see the full amount refunded onto my credit card within 2-3 days, the day it went back on my card was the day we were meant to fly. Personally, I'd give up with trying to make contact via telephone.0 -
