  • Hi,I had my flight cancelled and offered a refund straight away, 19th March, as they weren't offering vouchers or rebookings past December, (initially) so i opted for a refund. 3 days later I received £99 of the £210 I originally paid. I've tried contacting several easy jet departments, keep getting passed around! Any ideas if this is t correct, I can't figure out the deductions, airport taxes, seat choices etc, it doesn't add up, but nobody is responding ? Any help would be appreciated, I just thought I'd receive a full refund, even prepared for a small admin fee but not losing £111 !!

Is it possible that one leg was £99 and the other leg was £111 and they have only processed one leg?
(might be worth checking your original booking confirmation for the breakdown)

Keep trying the phone number. Thats it.

This number may yield fruit: 03303655454
I tried the normal 0330 number a few times this morning and didn't make the queue as usual - tried 03303655454 and got through first time - and not even a queue once I got through to the right menu option. There is a longer set of messages and menus to work through. The refund was straightforwardly given and the cancelled flight has disappeared from My Bookings.

Good luck to all the others waiting on your refunds.
  • Can anyone tell me the t&c of the vouchers being offered please?

i have a flight booked for 31/5 which at the moment you can still buy seats for. I probably won't be needing to fly on an easyJet route before next May but my son may so if they allow for a name change and/or I could use them to buy a flight next May I'd chance it.
  • Just to let those know that calling the  03303655454 number got me a result this morning 1st try. As pervious post there’s a few messages and menus to go through, (the initial one being press 1 for English) but stick with all these and hopefully as me straight through and refund with no issue. No more than 10mins.

    Good luck all 👍

I have a flight booked with Easyjet which has been cancelled due to restrictions. Easyjet have sent me options to switch flights but the flights were for an event that is not being re-scheduled so I just want a refund. I have tried calling (the number automatically hangs up on you), emailing their customer service team (I got an auto response stating the email address is not longer in service) and they have turned off their online messenger system. Does anyone have any recommendations of contacting Easyjet to get a refund?

Probably already been answered in the 27 pages of replies so far - but we had a similar scenario for a trip to Belfast over Easter Weekend. We just had to keep phoning at various times of day, eventually got through to somebody, and they issued a refund. I guess patience is the key, but not to panic - legally they have to give you a refund, so you'll get there eventually.

Might be quicker to just send them an email with all your personal details, booking confirmation number etc. and tell them in no uncertain terms that the only thing any use to you is a refund, and sit back and wait for them to get round to dealing with your email. At least you then have it in writing.
  • Well phoned yesterday and bang on 8am today with no luck (busy?). Email after first cancellation sent last week (no response) another sent after second cancellation and no response from that one either.  Rung my CC company (they answered) and started a Section 75, told to wait 5-7 days, there's always the insurance :).
  • It seems that if you have booked a package with easyjet you just get told contact centre is closed. However if it is flight only you can join the queue. Grrrr
  • Hi - sorry for the new thread, but I didn't want to block up the helpline to ask a question (and their twitter hasn't replied to me in a week now) ... does anyone know if the vouchers you can receive if your flight is cancelled are exchangeable for a refund if not used?  Or do they just expire and the balance is forfeited? Should be in the small print for anyone who has accepted a voucher if they could check please?

Also - do flight-only credit vouchers have to be used on easyJet flights? Or can they be used as part payment for an easyJet package holiday?  Again maybe on the small print? Thanks if anyone can help! It might help others make that decision too freeing up the refund hotline for refund only cases.

Thanks @cubegame for the alternate number -  03303655454. Called at 8AM sharp, got through with no wait and they processed my refund promptly.

I did exactly the same this morning. I got through straight away at 8 am on the above number. Total time on the phone was 6 mins and my refund is being processed.  No email confirmation of this but my booking has disappeared from my bookings so I'm taking that to be a good sign.  I will keep a close eye on my credit card statements. Thanks @cubegame for the alternative number!
I am pleased and very grateful to say that my refund arrived today!
