Section 75 claims appear to have no time limit and chargebacks appear to have standard 120 days but up to 540 days to claim. I believe situations such as yours would be allowed beyond the 120 day rule. And congratulations on taking the airline situation into account.1

Like many others we had an email informing us that our flight had been cancelled. As we all know the only option we were given was to re-book the flights. We did this after many issues with the website crashing. However the re-booked flights were £300 cheaper. There was no facility to use up this difference by adding meals/additional baggage etc or any offer of a voucher. Easyjet are still not contactable. Is there anything else we can do to get the money back. It is daylight robbery1

jmini said:Thanks @cubegame for the alternate number - 03303655454. Called at 8AM sharp, got through with no wait and they processed my refund promptly.I did exactly the same this morning. I got through straight away at 8 am on the above number. Total time on the phone was 6 mins and my refund is being processed. No email confirmation of this but my booking has disappeared from my bookings so I'm taking that to be a good sign. I will keep a close eye on my credit card statements. Thanks @cubegame for the alternative number!0

I got my refund back to my credit card this morning so all done now.
I bagged a couple of bargain flights at Christmas with Easyjet in their sell off last month so here's hoping I don't have to do it all again!0 -
There were other options, including a full refund if you phoned easyJet. You will need to phone them now, but if you chose to accept their offer of cheaper flights instead of a refund, I doubt that there's anything they will do now.0

You're brave - I don't think I can face dealing with EasyJet again anytime soon!! (Although judging by the comments on this forum, they're not behaving any differently from countless other airlines or travel companies right now!)
Good luck!!0 -
A heads up....Easyjet currently offering checked baggage for 99p, on existing bookings and I think new ones as well.1

I've already had my refund (having phoned up) but I just received a response to the email I sent a few days prior to ringing them which might help a few people out:
Dear customer,
Thank you for your email.
I’m sorry it’s taken a little longer than usual to respond. As you might expect, the current Coronavirus situation means that we are receiving an extremely high number of emails resulting in lengthy response times.
Please find below a list of frequently asked questions which will give you more information on what to do next.
My flight has been cancelled, what should I do?
Where your flight has been cancelled, you would have received an email from us with the options available to you. You can self-serve both these options through Manage Bookings online or on the app. These include:
- The option to transfer your flight for free. Seats are currently for sale until February 2021.
- The option to claim a voucher for the full value of your ticket. If you aren’t ready to book again just yet, a voucher provides the flexibility to book travel in future, for flying through to at least Winter 2021. Click here for voucher terms and conditions
- If you prefer a refund, email your request to flightrefund@easyJet.com. As soon as your refund is processed, we will send you an email confirmation. It is extremely important that you enter the following information in the subject line of the email, in the same format as shown below. This will ensure we can process your request quickly. If you have more than one booking reference, please submit separate requests.
Subject Line : Booking Reference/Departure Date/EN
Example : ABC1D2E/16042020/EN
If you already actioned a flight change, received a voucher or a refund, then no further action is required.
My flight is operating but I want to cancel my travel, what should I do?
We are in the process of cancelling all flights for April 2020. It is taking us a little longer than usual to process these cancellations due to a high volume of flight reservations. As soon as these cancellations are processed, you or the booker will be contacted through email and SMS using the details we have on the booking. Our customer service team will be in touch to let you know how to switch to a new flight, get a voucher or be reimbursed. Please note, you will need to wait for your cancellation email before you can manage your booking online or request a refund.
Flights for May 2020 onwards are still operating as normal. I would like to assure you that the health and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is our highest priority. We are continuing to monitor the current situation and are in regular contact with the relevant authorities. We will amend our flight schedule on the guidance received from them. Please wait for our communication on any changes to our flight schedule before contacting us.
If you prefer to make amendments now to flights that are still operating, you have the following options:
- You can change the dates and destination of your flight without incurring a change fee and would only pay the fare difference if the new flights are more expensive. This offer is only for customers who self-serve on our website through Manage Bookings and is only available for a limited period of time. Please see our FAQ for more details.
- If you cancel after 24 hours of making your booking, you may be entitled to a refund of Government taxes. To apply for a government tax refund, please submit your request on our online Webform here. Please make sure you select the “Claim a Government tax refund” option. Your refund will be processed within 28 days. Please allow a further 7 -10 days for your refund to appear in your account.
- If you cancel within 24 hours of making a booking, you will get a full refund, minus a cancellation fee. This can be done online via Manage Bookings.
Kind regards,

Hiya,
My flight is 30th may and returning on 5th June. I am not sure if the lockdown will be lifted at that time but I want to cancel them to get refund. have a thought but not sure it is stupid or sensible. I am thinking of changing my flight dates to 1st may (this is the earliest date that easyJet still has a flight scheduled) so I am “hoping” that the lockdown is still in place so then the flight is cancelled on that date and I can can ask for refund. However, I suspect that there is a chance that if the lockdown is lifted and flights can resume on 1st may, then this means I will lose the money as I will not want to travel given there will be very high risk of infection even if they allow flying, I do not want to take the risk. So do anyone think this is a stupid or sensible idea?
Also I currently have travel insurance but if I change the flight dates, I suspect there will not be insurance cover as I rebook it after 18th March where they will not cover it as the pandemic is a known event after that date.
any advice?0
