Can you request a refund online if you've booked a package with easyjet and do you have to get the official cancellation email?

I got the mail about a week before the holiday. Still had no refund though.
There’s an online form on the covid advice part of the holidays site, probably worth asking if a refund is due there and waiting for a response.

We booked a package holiday and have requested a refund online using the aforementioned form.

I would suggest that you apply for a refund after confirmation that your holiday has actually been cancelled by EasyJet; otherwise it's possible that they can wriggle out of giving you a refund, using the excuse that you cancelled, rather than them.

  • Just had the following mail so worth keeping faith:

    Dear *****,

We’re sorry we’ve not been in touch for a little while - our teams have been working really hard to help as many customers as they can as quickly as they can. We know that it may have been frustrating for you, but the good news is that we’ve now processed the refund for your holiday (booking ref: ***********) and so it should be with you in the next three to five working days. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.

We’d like to thank you for originally choosing easyJet holidays, and when the time is right we would love to have you back. We’ve launched our summer 2021 programme early in case you’re dreaming of your next getaway once the world is back to normal.

Wishing you all the very best,

    Your easyJet holidays team

Good question, I have flights booked for 5th/6th May which clearly won’t be flying now but no official cancellation yet. We also had flights booked in March (connecting via London Gatwick) - 4 flights in all. Randomly it appears that three were refunded and one wasn’t....still following it up.

I had a full refund without having to call!
I found a way to raise some feedback or complaint on the site and they did get to it.
The event we were going to became virtual but if it runs on site again we will book easyjet!

I had flights for the 25th and the 27th March...each were cancelled 48 hours before departure

We were due to fly on 20th April and the holiday was cancelled by EasyJet on 17th April.

We've also had an email from EasyJet saying that they're processing the refund and are hoping that we'll receive it within the next 14 days. (Obviously, I'm not getting too excited until it's actually back on the credit card, but it's sounding very promising! ;) )

Morning! We got our cancellation email for the outbound flight from a EJ flight ticket today.  The return flight is part of the same booking but looks like it's not yet been cancelled.

I used the online refund form to request a refund, does anyone know if you also have to submit another refund form for the return leg when that's cancelled (presumably in a week or so)?

Our flights were 3 May outbound and 10 May return, so it looks like they are cancelling them about 12 days in advance at the moment!
