Easyjet cancellations and refunds

So our Gatwick flights to Costa Rica have been cancelled leaving us with end of June our and mid July fights from our local airport to Gatwick. We aren’t intending to go to Gatwick as a holiday destination for 2 weeks so am considering how best to change them. Originally i was going to wait and see if they were cancelled then we’d either get a voucher or refund, but if lockdown restrictions get eased then I’m concerned they may actually be valid and we don’t want to go.
So I was thinking of changing them to a UK flight for end of August to somewhere we’d be happy to go to - I’ve checked and we wouldn’t have to pay any more plus it seems roughly what we paid for the original flights so wouldn’t be losing out either. However our preference- however misguided it might be, but please don’t really want comments on that - is to go anywhere abroad that is open. I don’t want to book this now though as it costs more than our original flights and I don’t want to be locking up more money with Easyjet. Does anyone know if there is any restriction on changing flights more than once? Second question is probably unanswerable which is do we know if Easyjet is likely to withdraw the free changes - worst case scenario is getting stuck with current flights that we do not wish to use ? Finally does anyone know when Easyjet is likely to release Easter 2021 schedule as I could use them then instead with a bit more certainty.
All thoughts welcome please
Ps we do have travel insurance but it has turned out to be fairly useless even though I added disruption cover before this all kicked off, and initial enquiry suggested that as Easyjet were prepared to swap our flights, they wouldn’t pay out and the per person excess means even if they did, it makes more sense to reuse the flights somehow.0 -

EasyJet now offers refund via website but it's a bit hidden.
Go through the questions and choose 3rd option - Other when you have choice of re-scheduling, voucher, other. And then on next page choose last option below voucher. There's a text that if you're not happy with the above options, you can choose refund.

If our holiday is cancelled, can anyone tell me when Easy Jet will let you know? Either days or hours ahead of the flight? Thanks

Regarding easyJet refunds for cancelled flights. I received their email 16/4 re cancellation of my flight 23/4. Told me to ring customer service number for refund. Couldn’t get through so emailed customer.support@easyJet.com on 16/4 demanding refund. On 21/4 received another email giving me access to a simple refund form on line. I have now completed that and should get refund in 28 days.0

I filled out the online form for a refund today. No confirmation or anything expected timeline etc. Do you all just complete the online form and hope for the best? The MSE newsletter suggested calling as well. Kind regards, M0
