Didn't go to mum's (she had said not to if I wasn't better). The hairdresser has been this morning and one of her partner's granddaughters calls on the way home from work (early finish Friday) so she would have company and as I'm really not well enough to actually do anything useful I stayed at home.

Had my shower before lunch:j:j. It's been late afternoon for the past 2 days. I also managed to get myself downstairs - various bits of my leg are very painful, presumably from yesterday's hobbling about.

Unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher (had to sit down in between), have taken rubbish and recycling to the bins (including making a start on chopping up next doors Christmas tree and putting it in my green bin (they were optional - only 2 of us have them in our block of 5).

I have also started a clear out and clean of the fridge and made bacon soup. Had to go upstairs for spare matches as the ones in the kitchen weren't striking. Beloved used to take them to light her candles and then I would comee to cook something and there were no matches so I've hidden the replacements in my undie drawer.

I must be making progress as I have 6 emptied bags for life. A NSD as I haven't been further than the bins.

Today I am grateful for being able to stand up for a short while, for finding easier ways to do things (mostly sitting down) and yummy bacon soup using stuff we had in (extra cabbage chopped and added).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Evening everyone and happy Friday :)
Today is another NSD for me - 7/16.
I've had 3 days at my self employment role so lots of work for me over the weekend. Got free lunch today. Have returned some clothes via the PO so will shortly get £200 back into the bank. Would still like a couple of new items for my new job but will have a look in the charity shops.
Yesterday was stressful as took DD2 to hospital for test results. Thankfully all was ok :) Very happy as was expecting her to have another operation. She may well need one in the future but respite for the rest of the year. She deserves a break from hospital.
I had my teeth done a couple of years ago! I was going to have braces but as I grind my teeth I had one tooth that was too small for the clip thingy :( So I had fillers which meant fake bits built up on the end of my front 6 teeth. Has made a huge difference to my confidence - I totally understand those who are going to do something about their wonky teeth - I don't mind smiling now ;)
The downside was that I put most of the cost on my CC which I'm now slowly paying off. Was less costly than braces though.
    Gratitudes :

    Lovely kind consultant
supportive friends who sent messages wishing us luck for the test results
Hope everyone has a relaxing evening and hugs to those who need them

    Good Morning!

Not quite sure what happened the last 2 days but they seem to have been a blur. Thursday was work, and Netflix marathon - so bagged an NSD that night... Friday was off but did buy a few things from the local supermarket. Today will be a spend day as with parents...

So far, today = NSD :starmod: 12

I have fallen a little out of rhythm the last 2 days... no mindfulness first thing, and ended up doing right before bed... no posting on here... and whilst I am within budget I'm a week ahead (i.e. drawing out of next week for this week)... life has felt a little upside down and disordered. I'm getting back into my am routine as that seems to set me up for the day. I'm aiming for an NSD streak this week to get me back in sync with spending.

I have been grateful for (over the last 2 days):

    1) A colleague at work who is unfailingly positive
    2) Friends for helping restore confidence in myself
    3) My family for their love and support
    4) A sense of security returning at work
    5) For Josh at Vivo Life who sends out fantastic emails
    6) The patients I meet at work who humble me at times

I will pop on again this evening for a quick update. Have a great Saturday everyone. What's the weather doing out there...? I haven't looked yet... Later x

Checking in early to give my update. Today has been a spend day but everything I bought was on the list apart from one thing.

I needed some vitamins so ordered those online as it's cheaper than any of the health shops around here. Got some pasta sauce in sainsburys. Bought hay and food for the rabbits, had a £1.50 off voucher so made use of that. Was running low on protein powder so ordered some from my usual site, they always have different offers, got the protein on sale plus 35% off the total so I'm happy with that.

The only thing not budgeted for was a tester pot of paint, I'd been meaning to touch up some paint (it's got a few scrapes and you can see the white undercoat which isn't ideal as the paint is blue so it's really obvious). Went down into the basement as I was sure I had the tin down there but can't find it anywhere so have ordered a tester pot. At least I can keep it up here for any future touch ups rather than digging around in the basement fruitlessly.

Also been to boxing class this morning, first of the year and it was horrible! :rotfl: but in a good way. Also decided to be MSE and cut my rabbits' nails myself today rather than getting the vet to do them. I normally ask the vet as I hate doing it and they hate it too, but it's roughly £20 each so I thought they will have to have it done at home. They're both currently sulking under the sofa. :p

Plans for rest of the day are more tidying, hoovering and throwing out some old papers.

Lcc - it's worth a couple of sulking rabbits to make that kind of saving!

    Afternoon all :)
Been awol for a couple of days, for no particular reason :o
    But I have now clocked up 8 / 16 NSDs :)
It is very cold here today, but OH and I wrapped up and took the dog for a walk. It is at least dry! Did a little bit in the garden, a bit of cleaning and tidying in the house, nothing very exciting, unless setting up my new laptop counts as exciting (it doesn't to me!).
Grateful for a computer that works properly, good food cooked at home, a nice walk and lovely cosy stove to curl up in front of once I got home :)

How are all you turtles questors getting on with your quests? Mid-month (ish) is a good time to read back over your notes and check you are on track.

Today I am grateful for a good night's sleep, for painkillers, for being able to stay inside all day, for dh taking dd to dance, for getting dd to do some hwk, for a good book.

Hi I am grateful for sun shine, binge watching, and for not having to do any chores tomorrow, as did cleaning today. Need to stop going to Coop during the week!
