Oops not posted for a good few days - now up to 10/16 NSDs
Got an infection in my tooth so not feeling 100% but grateful for antibiotics, painkillers, coffee and a cosy flat.
Poor you, one of the worst pains to have.
greent - it never rains but it pours, hope it all gets sorted without being too costly.
Not popular this morning for sending the kids on the bus in the rain. They don't cope well with discomfort.
All the beds have been stripped and the first load is in the wash, I was hoping it would be dry today so I could get it on the line. Have started another bag for the charity shop and am hoping to add some more things to that over the next few days. Made popcorn last night, we just have it plain so apart from the coconut oil it is a healthy treat.
Lunch today will be black bean soup from yesterday and tea is hm pizza.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Mothernerd - you deserve a good rest on the chaise longue, draped in your cape.
All those of you getting nsds - well done one and all!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I truely like January for being MSE as no one ever wants to do whatever or go anywhere so it makes it less difficult to manage financially!0

I am on a roll now, NSD 7/16, though I will have to spend soon as my travel card is running out. Probably today.
I am grateful for the interesting book I am reading, the relatively empty train this morning and board games with friends.NST January Turtles number 250 -
Sorry haven't posted for a few days, had no end of computer problems last few days.
Just catching up with your posts, laughing and sending hugs to everyone having a bad January with unexpected bills.
Abundant - I am also so happy in my own bubble unless Poldark is free will be singleton for ever.
Sorry can't remember who posted about Santander account but I will have to look at mine as well, probably revert back to the old one Lite account, with just £1 fee and maybe try HSBC account. High monthly paying in though.
I can't say I have added to my NSD they still stand at 7/16NSD.
I had to renew my driving licence and get new bulbs for my kitchen lights, Also booked and paid for train and hotel for concert next month. Hotel dearer than I expected but left it a bit late I think plus it will be half term time.
Had a meal out last night with friends, used voucher so 25% off food bill, made a reasonable cheap night out. Somehow had really bad problems breathing think it might have been a smoky fire we were sat there. Still don't feel great, just hope it is not the start of yet another chest infection.
Off work this afternoon, so will get out and get some fresh air might help.
Had an awful week in work, just been so stressed out and so much work to come back to after xmas, glad its nearly the weekend.
Might see if I can shuffle more money to my credit card now as I have more car repairs to put on it next week plus dentist eek
Roll on February.
Great thing about this month is, besides work I live in dressing gowns, pjs so don't need to spend on clothes happy to stay in at night.
Grateful for
Friend invited me for early tea tonight, best homemade chips ever.
Good laugh with friends last night.

Budge up on that chaise, mothernerd!
Today is still NSD8.
Last night I had 25 minutes to wait for DS1 to come out of college, and no book in the car to read (rookie mistake!), so off I nipped to Mr Ts, who had all manner of wonders reduced (like boxes of m00 free hazlenut truffles down to £2) and I ended up spending just under £40 on weird stuff, mostly ys but honestly, just not things on the list, and now I have decided what we are eating next week, I still need to do some shopping:mad:. It was all hugely reduced though.
This morning I pulled onto the garage forecourt to fill up with petrol, popped the cap, and then remembered I had left my purse at home so I could not spend any more money:eek:. So I got back in and drove home. Just in time!!
I have filed and sorted 4 x A4 sized files of paperwork this morning, nearly lost the will to live somewhere between child tax credit letters and life insurance policy documents, and now I have a massive pile to chuck. Really it needs shredding first. Still have to try and get a better life insurance deal than the one we have.
No more news on the remortgage-fest. Why does it still take so flippin' long? I am impatient today.... and hungry - diet is going well:rotfl:.
Half way through January already, and the budget is bang on where it is supposed to be. Things are getting done, and it is 2 weeks til payday.
Hugs to poorly turtles, - dh, ds2 and ds3 have started coughing again, this cough going around is fiendish hard to get rid of. I patched them up over the holidays, but they have been thrown back into the microbial soup that is 'Education'. My sympathies to all suffering, or trying to sleep in the same house as those are suffering. Actually that might explain why I am so grumpy. I still wake up at the slightest whimper. Sleep is hard at the moment.
Happy Friday!!

Have been to the fruit and veg stall in the tiny market in our town, I go at least once a week and am happy to support a small business especially as it is almost all package free. Also called into Tesco, DH's veganism is costing me a fortune, today was nuts and vegan sweets - just the essentials then.
Called into the charity shops and bought a really lovely pine wall cupboard for our kitchen, grand total of £4, also bought a gorgeous hand knitted Pachamama cardigan - I am on a clothing low buy this year but it is so lovely and I had been eyeing up the jumpers full price a couple of weeks ago.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Up to NSD 11 here. Being busy at work makes it almost impossible to spend! Have worked way more hours than I should've done this week so have kept a note and will be claiming back every second as we don't get overtime.
Checked online banking this morning and everything is on track, I'm about where I need to be at this time of the month. Will spend tomorrow on a few necessary bits but am sticking to my list.
Back has really been playing up the last couple of days but I slept much better last night and was able to get to the gym this morning so I'm pleased with that. Am also making good use of my pain management app, at least I am until OH comes in and starts talking over it going on about what a load of codswallop it is! He may well be right but even if it's just a placebo effect it seems to work for me so I'll carry on with it.
I chipped a tooth at lunch time, it's only tiny, barely noticeable but I can feel it with my tongue so I booked a dentist appointment to be on the safe side. dolly/raphael I did clear retainer type braces but got them from a much cheaper company, have only paid £1,500 but my teeth weren't too bad to begin with.
Today I'm grateful that it's finally Friday! Been such a long week. I'm also grateful for my pain management app, and for being home early so I can curl up on the sofa and chill for the evening.0 -
Am grateful today for the nhs, for a quiet day recuperating, for painkillers that work, for my recordings of WSM, for dd having a good end to the school week, for a good book, for money in the bank and a general disinclination to spend.0NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
