Checking in early as I'm off to my hospital appointment at about 12 noon. Will go straight to mum's when I get back to accompany her to the same hospital tomorrow. I have to lug my breathing machine with me, 2 x 2l drinks bottles plus all the usual (book to read, glasses. purse and wallet, phone, charger, pills) so not taking the laptop (so will be MIA until some time late tomorrow).

I will probably need to take the walker. I felt fine when I finished mauling with the grid yesterday, had taken things slowly and staedily, working sitting down whenever possible. Felt lovely after showering and washing my hair. Then got hit by a great wave of tiredness and later various parts of my body started to tell me they hurt. Walking lop sided this morning as knees, arms and other bits do not want to do anything - looking forward to getting to the bungalow as going up and downstairs is a yelp and groan fest.

Today I am grateful for the NHS, for getting things done (today is just the price I pay for it) and my bed (not slept well but probably just anxiety about oversleeping).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Checking in earlier than usual today. Had to take the day off to look after Little Turtle as SWMBO isn't feeling great. Done a few PA surveys, so should see a few extra £s come my way.

Unused/Ugly/Unloved - Junk mail. Giving it to Little Turtle to play with. Shiny paper, cheap crinkly envelopes. Tactile and makes sounds.

Savings - Trying to only boil the water I need, not a full kettle.

    Today I am grateful for:

    1) Junk mail. Little Turtle loves to play with it and scrunch it up. Free toy!

    2) Reduced mozzerella I'd forgotten about. Hopefully I'll make pizza today or tomorrow.

    3) Enough tea stockpiled for nuclear war, or a rainy day off.
    Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)

Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)

16 NSD’s minimum- so far today is my 4th NSD!
Will likely be spending tomorrow as going shopwards, but it’s budgeted for.
I did pay to post a bay of e purchase but I’m classing that as “business expenses/bills” and it covers it’s own costs.
Give- time, money, food - I did my first Olio give today, £30 worth of food item, had a nice chat with one grateful lady! Then deposited ragged old clothes at the recycle bank.
Today I’m grateful for - feeling positive and content, all the stuff I own and olio.

    2/16 NSD today
Cover work booked for next 2 days. I might make it through the month.
Grateful for ds cooking dinner, warm bed waiting, fuzzy socks I got in a secret santa prezzie years ago.
TO be honest I'm struggling to be grateful as had a nightmare of a first day back.

  • Hello :hello:
I am a tired turtle tonight - I am looking forward to my bed later - I didn't sleep so well last night. However, I am very grateful to have survived my first day back at work. I've bagged another nsd too, and it all went ok-ish. It was nice to see everyone again after a couple of weeks off - so I'm also grateful for that.
I also managed to stick with the diet, which I'm also grateful for - I was concerned about how I would manage at work because I'm a sucker for whatever is lying about at work. It takes a bit of effort but will hopefully be worth it.
Got home early and ds had made me a cup of tea, but even better than that had done most of the jobs I had asked him to do.

Today I am grateful for a decent day at work, for a functioning photocopier, for completing some online training, for dd having a good day, for dh de-christmassifying the house, for fleecy blankets, for my quest (when I think about it, I think about my costume, and just have to smile :D), for getting home just before the rain pelted down, for dd's joy at her hair being long enough for a decent pony tail.
