    I had a similar issue with incorrect billing. I disputed 4 of their bills and although they say they cancel them they just reissue what they think will keep you from complaining. You'll still see the incorrect bills on your account for some reason. My ploy was to tell them exactly what the bill should show regarding dates and readings. They issued the bill and I paid it. 
    That sounds like good advice, thanks. Once I have my Avro statement I'll contact BG and give them the exact dates and readings, so hopefully I can short circuit all the commings and goings.

    I have today received a response from the administrators to my email dated 2/3/20 concerning my credit balance due to me from Breeze. They have said that all credit balances were sent by them to BG last week and that my BG account will be credited with the £182.43 owed in due course. Having already moved away from the inept BG on 11th Feb. I will await confirmation from them before settling my final bill.

    dgas thank you for posting.  They never bothered replying to my email asking about my credit balance!  My final bill to BG is due to be paid by 18th, somehow don`t think my credit will appear on my account by then!

    I was genuinely surprised to receive the response from a named individual using his email address at RM Restructuring. It gives me something in black and white to use as formal confirmation with BG of the correct amount due to me since I have already left BG for Ovo. I would suggest that you try emailing the administrators again. I do not think BG will be in any hurry to process credits due to ex customers so if you have already left BG then hold off paying until they pay you just like I will. Good luck.

    One final point is that with such a chaotic back office manned by powerless overseas call centres I would never use BG for energy even if they had the best rates in the market. I was very happy with Breeze and before them, Affect Energy. I have been with Ovo before but will monitor how their customer service is now they are one of the big boys. Any problem and I will jump ship even with the £60 cost.

    I'll be with my new supplier in a couple of days, but if I don't receive my Breeze credit by the end of the month I will be chasing British Gas for it.
    I will also give British Gas my final readings when I do them to Avro.

    BG have now sent me two bills, one for Jan-Feb and one Feb-Feb (2 days), totalling £33.51 but they are only for Gas. They're still asking for opening readings for the Electric.

    I’m due to leave BG for Octopus next week if all goes to plan. In the meantime I keep getting bizarre emails from BG telling me my direct debit is changing. It was originally £130 a figure I agreed with them. Then I get an email saying it had been revised to just £14! Great I thought, that must mean I’ve had my £560 Breeze credit and my account’s awash with cash, but no, nothing that exciting. Last night another message to say I’m back up to £109. In the midst of this I’ve had the ‘sorry your leaving us’ email... but only for gas! You couldn’t make it up.

    I've had my meter reading request from Avro- submitted it and then submitted it to British Gas too- they've confirmed they've received the reading, so any dispute I have it in writing. Tomorrow I am an Avro customer.
    Still haven't heard anything about my Breeze credit, but will have a final British Gas bill to pay.

    Think I’m going to adopt that approach too. Once I’ve had my final bill from BG if there’s no sign of the Breeze credit I’m intending to put in another formal complaint about it.

    If there no joy then I’m going to go to one of the national tabloids and tell them what’s happening. It’ll make a nice story!
