Do not let a credit build up then, that's the hard lesson I've learnt.
Breeze was the cheapest when I joined them.

My BG Account is finally showing as being closed online today and my switch to Yorkshire Energy is official....it shows a final balance owed but do find it strange that they tell you what they think you owe but don’t provide a bill for this charge? It really is an odd way of doing business? Still no word from the Breeze Administrators as to what if any final bill we can expect from them?

I did my final readings for Breeze early January (when they emailed asking for it) so the credit built up paid that bill leaving me with a small amount of credit.

    Hi,
    Did you get the credit?

airmac, I would suggest you check your bill from BG properly.  The one they sent me had their estimated readings... both gas and electricity were to different dates and the standing charges were both also wrong.  I queried this with them and they cancelled it and are waiting for the meter readings from Avro.   I have also heard nothing from Breeze.

I despair, I have just received an  email from BG saying I have a bill, and they have reinstated the bill they cancelled yesterday!!

Same here. I queried my elec bill which they cancelled because I pointed out to BG it had an incorrect over estimated reading and incorrect dates. Then another one appeared almost immediately which was exactly the same. I've already settled the gas account with BG but still awaiting my new supplier and BG to agree the elec final reading. In the meantime BG continue to operate an accounting system which is flawed and amateurish. I'm told by my new supplier it takes up to 30 days for the industry to agree a final figure even though I've given them a meter reading on time and accurate. As a rule I'll never pay a bill to anyone unless it's accurate so BG can issue as many as they like until I'm happy.

Would be interesting to hear from anyone that received a final bill from British Gas that WAS NOT ESTIMATED! I received my final bill today and yes it was estimated? It would be so easy just to pay it but the likelihood is you end up paying for the same energy usage twice? Its unforgivable for any energy company to calculate a final energy bill using estimated readings....especially as they repeatedly ask for reading in the first place?

I have contacted BG using the Chat portal and agreed what the actual readings should be....they have promised a new final bill will be generated....AM NOT HOLDING MY BREATH!

Are these estimates the same for ending Breeze and starting BG?
If same does it really mater much.

NO the estimates are for leaving BG & switching to Yorkshire Energy. The estimates do not match the actual readings provided to both BG & YE...

My BG bill has been loaded onto my account.  From 16th Jan - 15th Feb it is over £50 more than I would have paid Breeze, will be checking it very carefully before anything is paid.  There is no credit from Breeze showing.
I`m also getting a little confused, please can anyone tell me what is happening about us getting billed from 22nd Dec - 15th Jan?  are the administrators sending us that one?   thanks everyone, really appreciate all these postings helping and advising each other  :)
Ours is much higher than it would have been with Breeze too..!

Confusion is the name of the game. Our first bill from BG is for the period 16th Jan to 7th Feb. No mention of the period 22 Dec to 15th Jan.
Breeze administrators state that any final bill from them will be up to 22 December 2019.

Chatting with BG, they still cannot advise when any credit from Breeze will be paid out.
Administrators state within two weeks of the 31st Jan, BG originally said when the BG account is fully set up.

I have initiated a switch away from BG to Avro. They are the cheapest for us.
I just hope that BG don't attempt to block the switch as the over-estimated bill they recently advised me of remains unpaid.

Ok same question leaving Breeze is the final BG same as Yorkshire Energy if same no big deal is it?
Doesn't look good for YE if you gave them the final reading though.
