    Morning all!

    Had a very successful day of sorting things out chez Fanta. Today will be similar except for normal Friday jaunt to mil's.

    :heartpuls Write meal plan - done
    :heartpuls Work out ingredients for mil's Christmas chocolates - done
    :heartpuls Make shopping list - done
    :heartpuls Parcel up ebay sale as stuff is now washed and dried - done
    :heartpuls Nip to my friend's on way to mil's to drop off her daughter's Christmas pressie. Must pop card with gift. - done
    :heartpuls Buy spray starch when I nip to the post office - done
    :heartpuls Starch the cat coasters
    :heartpuls Discovered that one of the earrings that I bought my mum was faulty. Have contacted seller and they are posting me some new ones :) - done
    :heartpuls Write expression of support to the council's proposal of turning our road into a 20 mph zone - done. I sound like "disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" but I don't care. People drive dreadfully down our road and it's very dangerous.

    Have a good one all

    May I sneak back in please folks?
    I have been battling stress, ex husband, finances, kidney infection, dark mornings and end of term tiredness for weeks but I think I'm finally starting to feel a bit better. Work finishes (for the decade) today, and I also finish my antibiotics today. Christmas shopping is all done (within budget - not that it matters when you look at my legal expenses) and I just have present wrapping to do. I think I might just make it.
    My only real plans for the day are to survive until school finishes for ds at 3.30pm and then go home and sleep. I got paid very early this month - today instead of NYE. So I've moved my wages into an instant access savings account for the 11 days - just so I'm not tempted.

    We're going to have leftovers for Christmas dinner.

    Looking at the fridge and freezer today it seems the logical thing to do.

    Hi December Devotees,

    Need to eat some frogs today :(, but I'm going to have some fun first ;).

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Checked online banking.

    * Get some exercise by walking around the RSPB Reserve. 504/500 miles.

    * Big home-cooked breakfast this morning so we didn't need food while out.

    * Saved DW from an unnecessary spend, she thought we had no rubber gloves, there were 6 pairs under the sink. :eek:

    * Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.

    * Numerous frogs.

    “Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.”

    Good to "see" you :) I'm glad you're turning a corner now.

    I got paid to day too and have done the same thing!

    Morning all,

    Its the first morning of the kids holidays and already my plans are scuppered :(
    Dh had a problem with his car this morning so he's taken mine to work - he only had it serviced at the end Nov/beginning of Dec I think. I've booked it into the garage for tomorrow morning but it also reminds him how much he regrets buying this car and how much he hates it and that he wants to replace it as soon as possible. I'd got him to agree to after Easter (when it was being serviced) but I bet he's at work looking online at cars now!!
    So as no car now, I've cancelled my gym session and cancelled a catch up for me and the boys with some old friends (we were going to meet for lunch/walk an hour away)
    Looking for the positives...
    :xmassmile dh is at work for his last day before the holidays (and we had my car that he could use to keep safe)
    :xmassmile car is booked in for tomorrow
    :xmassmile kids and I are having an enforced day at home but it means I will get washing/ironing all done and up to date before the hols

    To do
    :xmassmile wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash and hang on the heated airer :A
    :xmassmile wash a 2nd load on the quick 30 degree wash and hang on the heated airer
    :xmassmile check banking and update cashbook :A
    :xmassmile update freezer list
    :xmassmile tidy fridge and check nothing is going to waste
    :xmassmile all meals from stores
    :xmassmile put a beef brisket in the slow cooker for a quick and easy meal over the weekend.

    other then that its just a general potter day!

    Morning all!

    Had a bad night's sleep and couldn't be bothered to make lunch - naughty twigs! But I will do better for the rest of the day! Plus I had a really good chat with OH about money last night, think he is getting back on board!

    So today I have/will:
    * Check banks
    * Park for free and walk to work
    * Buy present for friend - I work in town whereas she would have had to battle the crowds tomorrow afternoon after working in the morning so I offered to buy for her. Cost £39 and she just transferred me £50 and told me to treat myself!
    * Snap receipts
    * Check OP/PA
    * Update spreadsheet
    * Continue reading old diary for any insights!
    * Make meal plan and shopping list
    * Battle supermarket to get shopping done as don't want to put this off any longer!
    * Wrap remaining presents if I have the energy after the food shop!
    * Dinner from stores

    Think that's everything. Hope everyone has a nice day.

    Morning :D happy holidays to most peeps :D

    ally congrats on your achievement! You're really good at sticking with things you set out :D

    TryingAgain2022 Christmas is a difficult time for lots of people. I try to remember it is just a day, no big deal, no need to do very much except things for a big roast dinner, games, a walk, a few drinks and then it's over for another year! I used to buy in to all the hoopla and get stressed, weeks and weeks of stress only by Christmas day afternoon to realise it's just another day. Now I don't get stressed about it at all!

    Anyway today:

    [STRIKE]* have done TOMM[/STRIKE]
    * put away washing & do another load
    [STRIKE]* am making madam cheese on toast using the last slice/crust of bread [/STRIKE](oh always leaves it and then I find it perished. Not this time my friend!)
    * hoping the post brings some thread so I can finish dd's baby blanket and then I can give it to her tomorrow :Dboo it didn't come
    [STRIKE]* madam is watching Nativity 2 on netflicks[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]* going to make a gingerbread house when she's finished[/STRIKE] will decorate tomorrow morning
    * cook red cabbage & freeze in portions for xmas day :D
    [STRIKE]* make a batch of spicy tom soup[/STRIKE]. Can you believe I have no soup in the freezer?! :eek:
    [STRIKE]* I've got 2 presents left to wrap[/STRIKE] :D
    [STRIKE]* chicken breasts defrosting for tea and using up opened jar of pesto that's in the fridge ;)[/STRIKE] I forgot I was going to a friend's party where we were treated to a lovely selection of curries and nibbles. Chicke breasts now in the fridge for tomorrow ;)
    [STRIKE]* send oh a list of bits to pick up a sainos [/STRIKE]
    * read my book, play games and just general bonhomie :D

    Have a great day guys x
