I've been avoiding my frogs* for so long now they deserve a post of their own.
Some of these jobs have been avoided for months. Procrastination is alive and well at Dowd Towers. OK, off I go, get them done and finally clear my mind.

Afternoon all
Congratulations on completing your challenge Ally :T
Feeling a bit low today. Took myself off for a walk into town to get a couple of small niggly items. Hasn't really helped the low feeling, but it was free exercise, and I got the few things from my list that I couldn't get the other day.
Still no news on the boiler repair. Rang the plumber and left a message.
Neighbour's kids are screaming and she is screaming back at them
One of the joys of living in a terraced house
No cooking done today, but I don't need to do much more until closer to the big day. Tried out the little 'taster' game pate that I made yesterday (with the bit left over from filling the terrine dish) for lunch, and that at least is a success
Used up the last few olives from a jar in the fridge, and found a few salad leaves in the greenhouse (or green cupboard as it would be better described :rotfl:)
Working on the final Christmas food shopping list, but dreading going as it is manic in town, and I didn't even go into one of the main supermarkets
Dinner will be fresh pasta and HM tomato sauce with chilli from the freezer
Might put a loaf in the BM as DD is bound to bring the kids round tomorrow.0 -
Congrats ally :T what you planning for 2020??
I’ve had a reasonably successful day with a bit more to follow. I have:
Made a Dundee cake, love the satisfaction of the concentric circles of almonds on the top. Used left over marmalade rather than buying apricot jam
Hand delivered some presents and a card
Lots of washing and drying on airers
Saved butter wrapper to grease a tin at another date
Decluttered 2 oversized jars that can go to charity now they have been washed and moved contents to 2 much better sized old coffee jars that I’ve washed out
De cluttered my sour dough starter to the binI’m not making it anymore as unable to eat it and it had gone past it’s best and was just taking up space in the fridge
Still to do:
More wrapping ....
Write 3 more cards, get one and a parcel in the post
Update banking, move DH pay to savings as it arrived 10 days early! Need to think this through as technically next budget DH isn’t due to get paid (one of us gets paid 4 weekly, 1 monthly) so it could be 6 weeks before this is technically due. Need to review my sheet.
Move some fuel money from pot
Start tomorrow’s picnic
Have a good rest of your Friday. It doesn’t feel like it’s got light here today. Let’s hoping for better tomorrow.0 -
Forum won't let me add to this post....

Well truly messed up this morning - drove into town and paid for parking ... realised I forgot photos for bus pass so had to stop in again later on my way to work total of £2.60 spent parking. But eventually I got bus pass, worked out that post office pre paid money card doesn't do my currency grrrr, so will have to find alternative.
So made a bit of money doing cover work. Spent much more on buss pass - and haven't gotten the dad contribution yet grr. Oh and also got the train to plane tickets - so all is sorted.
Have a lovely weekend.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
