    Good afternoon all,

I don't really know where the morning has gone as I don't seem to have achieved much. Anyway hopefully my list today will be a grower.
:heart2: Porridge for breakfasts :A (asked my dad to buy a bag of oats in lidl next time he's there as there bag is a paper one that can go in the recycling rather then aldees plastic one :A)
:heart2: 2 gym classes done to make the most of my membership and refilled water bottle there :A
    :heart2: Pick up dh & ds2s prescriptions :A
:heart2: Call into m & s for dh's fave perc coffee, used a survey gift card to buy it :A
:heart2: Wash a load on the quick wash and double spin :A
    :heart2: Check banking/update spreadsheet :A
:heart2: Check off the Mr T credit card statement  we always pay off in full as its just used for the points but I know this one is a big one (but the money's there in the various pots to cover it) but seeing the number will still make me wince! :A
:heart2: Make families lunches for tomorrow :A
:heart2: Make leek and potato soup - using the chicken juices from yesterday
:heart2: Make butternut squash soup :A-[STRIKE] using[/STRIKE] FROZE the stock from the chicken carcass made in the slow cooker overnight (as the recipe didn't need it! I was getting mixed up with the leek and potato!) :A
:heart2: Wrap one last present - (well help ds2 to do it as its a little gift for his gf! :rotfl:)
:heart2: Make a date cake - we have this instead of xmas pudding :A
:heart2: iron just what needs doing, usually just dh's work stuff most other stuff is just worn unironed! :A

    Hi December Devotees,

Had a nice day today, walking and bird-watching. :)

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Checked online banking.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 492/500.

    * Defrosted potato and leek soup and added some meat leaftovers for lunch.

    * Went to local RSPB of which we are members. Took own coffee and chocolate. We were rewarded with a sighting of a Goldcrest.

    * Took a single trip one stop up the rail line and walked home along the coast to get some fresh air and exercise. Chap in the Ticket Office explained that a return was 30p cheaper than a single. How can that be right?!

    * Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.

    * DW wanted a non-home-haircut for a change and opted to go to the barber two doors down instead of the ladies' salon. £7 v £15.

    * DW wanted to buy a book for a relative in Oz. I ordered one secondhand on Australian eBay and are having it sent from Oz to Oz. Much cheaper than mailing it from here.

    Evening all :)
    Boiler still not fixed :(
But it is toasty in here :)
    Today so far:
Washed hair and left to dry naturally

Porridge and a squishy pear for breakfast - add a spoonful of Lidl's Greek yogurt, and it is a luxury breakfast :)
Sorted freezer to make room for 3 dozen mince pies I made yesterday
    General tidying etc
Packed and posted 2 ebay items
DD came round with GS, made lunch for everyone with food I already had in :)
Shopping this afternoon - mostly stuff like flour, baking stuff, but I also replaced booze that I use now and then for cooking, as I had used up all that I had - I mean things like brandy, sherry, marsala. Bought cheap ones as it is only for cooking. Still pricey though  But I last bought it at least 2 years ago, more in some cases. It appears to keep for ages if you keep it in a cool place and you only want it to add to a cake, trifle, terrine or casserole :)

Made a veg curry for dinner, using up various bits from the fridge and freezer. There is a portion left over to freeze for another day :)

Still need to [STRIKE]write a letter to my cousin to pop in with her Christmas card [/STRIKE](hate writing letters :(), clear up after dinner, find a box of items to take to my sales unit tomorrow morning and water the indoor plants.

    Plans for the day are:

    * do the inland rev declaration - thanks trailingspouse!

    What`s the Inland Revenue declaration???
  • Morning all :hello:

Janb5 I cant quote on my phone but the return will be a self assessment tax return more than likely.

I’m not feeling great today so have rang the doctors to see if I can get an appointment, they are going to call me back. Other plans include:

    More wrapping
    Post some cards
    Post a gift
Something out of freezer for tea
Heating off as much as possible, we have blankets.
Lots of washing, juggling on airers
Small to party, present from stash
Still to do that food shop.... today may be the day
Cheapo porridge for breakfast topped with some items I was kindly gifted in a hamper. Smalls thought it was most extravagant for a Wednesday :rotfl:
    Check banking
    Look out for refunds
See if I can take something else back for a refund if I’m feeling up to it.

    Have a good day. Purps.

A few years ago was out of work and doing mystery shopping. I don't want to close the account as I might do it again. I have to just fill in a form to say nil income from this over the last year

    Hi December Devotees,

Trying to keep cheery and productive. I did well yesterday. :)

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Checked online banking. Just about still solvent.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 494/500.

    * Simple poached eggs for breakfast.

    * Went for a semi-local walk with DW. Drove just 3 miles to get there. DW's arthritis prevents us walking the whole way.

    * Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.

    * Cleaned fridge before we contract Ebola and froze anything that's surplus.

    * Defrosted chest freezer. Released a volume of ice equal to two loaves from captivity.
