    Hi December Devotees,

Quick post and to everyone, like my family, who begin celebrating tonight: Hanukkah Sameach! Started on the Gelt (chocolate coins) before breakfast...not wise, feel a bit sick now. :silenced:_pale_ I'm off now til 26th Dec. :D

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Checked online banking.

    * This afternoon we are going to watch ice hockey. The ice arena is attached to a shopping centre, but there'll be no spending for us. ;) We'll take our own drinks and snacks. MSE for me as DW is paying. :rotfl:

    * Alarm clock off at the wall during day time.

    Morning all (just!)
Hope your bank transfer goes ok Trailing. One bank, which shall remain nameless, but I no longer have an account with them, once lost £11k of mine for a few days. It turned up, thank goodness, but it was worrying at the time and they were quite blase about it!

Been to a boot sale / market this morning, and followed that up with a trip to Lidls. I have a food delivery happening this afternoon (big things but only the min spend for free delivery from Icyland), and will take my trolley and walk into town to buy anything else we need either tomorrow or Tuesday, as the traffic is horrific in town, and Sainsburys car park was rammed  Sounds lots of shopping (and it is) but we tend to have open house over Christmas and New Year, so extra people to feed, nothing will be wasted, and after my final trip I don't intend to go near a shop till after the New Year!

    Lunch will be fridge shrapnel

This afternoon we need to tidy up and put some stuff away (even OH suggested we tidy up a bit :rotfl:)
Finish decorating the Christmas tree so I can put away the decorations box till it is time for it all to go away again
Sort out the fridge  and the meat safe  and the larder
Dinner will be fish pie, fish out of the freezer and defrosting ready :)
Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Lovely to catch up with everyone's festive activities.
Nice to hear CCL & CLF feeling better.
Ally - Well done on completing your challenge! What a satisfying achievement.
Trying Again - Re the debt - we've all been there. Remember those small things & little everyday good habits really do add up.
Looking forward to sitting by the fire with my book in a bit......I only need to cut up the fudge I made earlier & arrange it in its box ready for gifting tomorrow.....then that's my tasks for today finished, as Mr F is cooking tonight.
    Love to all,

    Good afternoon all,

We've had a nice day here, sunshine and showers but we didn't get too wet thankfully.
    We had breakfast at home.
Then I took ds1 to pick up his new glasses after dropping dh in town with our youngest so that they could go to the cinema to see Star Wars (using gift card we bought with money from mil last xmas)
Ds1 and I had a costalot xmas hot choc whilst out which was ok but he said he actually prefers the Aldi hot choc! ;) We waited at my parents for dh/ds2 and it was lovely to have a catch up.
Called into coop on the way home to see what they had in the way of ys. Came away with some ys potatoes and ys milk.
Tonight dh and I will continue watching the Bond films (we're up to the first Daniel Craig one now) with fleece blankets, candles and some nibbles.

    Take care all.
Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
  • I'm just catching up with everybody's activities along with foxgloves.

ally well done on completing the challenge
dawnW u sound happier and very prepared.
CCL hoping u r feeling ok now and CLF i hope the health holds up for Christmas. I cant believe how many bugs are going around and if ur system is already low its hard.

I havent been about as i have been so busy at work. Without realising there was a work event very close to going off on our 4 day trip to Poland but i didnt know at the time of booking Poland so didnt have much time in between (and i had a touch of food poisoning at the work event, basically had to keep myself starved)
I didnt even know whether i could manage Poland, booked it on a cheap deal just before my surgery when i was in a bad mood! But couldnt argue with a Hilton hotel with an all u can eat breakfast for less than £45 a night and flights for £20. Really good time away. Frustrating that i couldnt do as much as i would have liked while away but was happy that i was just able to go. Back up plan was DD and her BF to go.

Being so close to Christmas we had told people that we werent bringing back presents like we have done in the past, we treated ourselves and spent some of our christmas monies. Have brought back some token things for people, its only the cat sitter who has had some proper presents :)

Managed to get things done early in the month. Family parcels sent using RM stamps and we dont send many Christmas cards now.
Picking up Christmas meats tomorrow and doing a late night shop at Tesc@ (have stamps saved for this) Would like to get to Aldi to stock up on cat litter but its in the next town and the traffic would be impossible. Might try to convince DD to come with me first thing as i wont be able to manage it all on my own
Delivering some presents to friends tomorrow night.
I am determined this year not to buy any more wrapping paper in the sales, still have lots that need using but will buy the family cards half price as usual!

Thats about it from me. All very boring from the kitties gang!
Have a great evening everyone x
