  • Morning

Banking checked and laptop charged. It was down to 10%. Don't know how that happened.

It's my birthday today so after a little bit of cooking I'm going to sit down and do absolutely nothing for once.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Afternoon all,

Not much in the way of small things today other then the things that are ingrained now like lights off when not in room, no heating on unless extra layers are on first, sockets off etc
    Other that that its been
2 gym classes to make the most of my membership,
aldee with a little list (just bread for packed lunches, milk and apples)

    Still need to
    * make families lunches doneand dice and freeze any left over chicken making a quick chicken curry for tea instead to use it up
    * tonights meal with be left over soups from yesterday with some part baked bagettes from the cupboard (although I'll fully cook them before eating ;) )kids have had the butternut squash soup as their after school snack, we'll have the leek and potato tomorrow instead
    * heating will go on once the kids come home (and ds2 has a friend coming over for an hour so can't have a cold house!) done

Thats about it. The wind and rain have really picked up in the 5 minutes its taken me to type this, take care all.

    Afternoon all :)
Hope you feel better soon Purple Fairy.

    Still no boiler :(
    Still toasty downstairs :)

But it was chilly in bed last night - have got more blankets out of the trunk.
    Today's list:
    Cheapie porridge breakfast
    Quick shower
Restocked and tidied sales unit, was pleased to see that several things had sold :)
Posted last Christmas card. Still need to do some for neighbours who send us one.

Load of washing, pegged out for a while before it started to rain. Must put on airer.
Lots of lists on the go, shopping, baking etc

Made a Christmas pudding - wasn't going to bother, but we seem to have an array of guests expected over Christmas :)
Made a small crumble to use up last 2 squishy pears and a not very nice apple :)
Got out with the dog before it started to rain :) (He doesn't 'do' rain :rotfl:)

Got OH to help me get the Christmas tree in while it was relatively dry. GD can help me decorate it at the weekend, but I will need to clean leaves, cobwebs etc off it first (it is a living tree in a pot that I have kept for several years in the garden). It is tall this year, nearly reaches the ceiling from its perch on a low chest! I will have to get the steps in from the garage for GD.

All food from home - nothing spent today. Making stuffed breast of lamb for dinner, with veg, gravy and HM fruit jelly :T
Taken ingredients for a game terrine, that I want to make tomorrow, from the freezer. I need to make 2 of these, as OH wants to take one with him on a visit on the 28th.
  • Morning :D man I feel tired today! Couldn't get to sleep until 3 am and madam had me up at 7.30  hoping the coffee will perk me up but it's looking unlikely at the moment!

    Today:

    * hang up washing & another load later
    * dropping madam at mil's for the day while I go to a spa with bff :j
    * TOMM - might split it and do 15 before going out and 15 later
    * need to stop at TKMAXX and get oh a gift
    * will take madam to sm to get bits for the food bank. Her elf gave her £5 to buy items ;)
    * wrap 5 gifts so I can give them to people/pass them to people to pass on today
    * just me for dinner today so will grab a soup out of the freezer :money:
    * post a parcel and a letter (didn't do it yesterday)

I'm going out with some girlfriends this evening to see Soul 2 Soul :D Will stay at bff's to keep costs down ;) Will wear something I already own - although part of me is urging me to get a new dress! :o

Ok think that's my lot. Hope you all have a great day x

    Morning folks!

DNMS - enjoy your day, it sounds fab!

It's going to be a busy weekend of normal bits combined with Christmas bits. I've already had to discuss what happens when with OH down to a fairly fine plan.

The list of weekend things... some to roll:
    :heartpuls B/L/D from stores
    :heartpuls Check PMP - done
:heartpuls Heating off at the moment cos it won't switch on (this happens sometimes... boiler is 30 years old) - it's working now but off cos it's mild today
:heartpuls Reconcile budget sheet - done
:heartpuls Marzipan the Christmas cakes - done
:heartpuls Make Christmas sweets for mil's gift - started...
:heartpuls Check number of petit four cases I have for the above - done. I have enough.
:heartpuls Quick jaunt to the allotment in a suitable weather window - done
:heartpuls Pick up secret santa gift for gym santa
:heartpuls Pack up ebay parcel that just sold - had to wash it first
:heartpuls Wrap all the presents - done
:heartpuls Finish last coaster and sew on button eyes and poss whiskers. - almost done
:heartpuls Mull some top quality apple juice for present wrapping. We have a fab deli next to our butchers that stocks apple juice made with single apple types. The Ashmead's Kernal juice is to DIE FOR but I have chosen a drier apple for mulling. - done
:heartpuls Have a scoot in a cupboard to see what I can gift to my nan (preserves etc)... might need to buy some bits
:heartpuls Darned the thumb of my glove which had just disintegrated - done

    Have a good one all
