LL, You may get the ink out with something alcohol-based, like hairspray or hand-sanitiser. Let the product soak into the stain for 10 mins and then add something soap based and see if it comes off. The cheaper the hairspray the more alcohol in it.

I've also heard you can soak fabric in milk to remove ink but I've never tried it and I don't see why it would work.

thanks Ally, I'll see if my mum has an old can of hairspray laying around and if she does I'll give it a try! To be honest though I've taken the money off him for the sheet (as I'd only bought it a week ago) but have told him I'm not replacing it. He's got to learn to look after his stuff, he's 11 now so should know better.

  • Evening all. Happy to be of service determined. And that's my sort of trick twiggy!!

Long day at work today - just about ready to leave when a customer came in to make a big order. Hey ho.

I've got a sore eye at the moment - red and painful - so popped in to the pharmacy for some drops on the way home. Pharmacist thinks I should see the doc so will do that tomorrow morning if I can get an appointment (don't start work until 2:30, there are advantages to working shifts!). The drops are helping a bit, £3.74 well spent. No idea what I've done - I'm not aware of hitting it, or getting grit in it, or anything like that.

Lunch today was chicken and stuffing sandwiches, and for dinner I used some more cold chicken to make fajitas (Rubber Chicken day two). Tomorrow will be more chicken sandwiches, and chunky chicken soup as well.

    Take care all

    Evening all :)
    Tired.com
Restocked sales unit this morning, cooking this afternoon, while OH hoovered through :A
Made some sausage rolls to use up sausage meat (got too much out of the freezer the other day when I was making some fancy ones for Saturday's family get together). Froze most, left a few out.
Made dozens of mince pies. Will freeze most. Will have to make more at some point as I have 2 jars of last year's mincemeat left. Will use it up after Christmas - we like mince pies enough to not just have them at Christmas, but I am really fed up with making them atm!
Finished up HM celery soup for lunch
Had sandwiches, spiced potato wedges and a salad on the side for dinner. Saved half of my sandwich for tomorrow's lunch.
    Redid larder inventory

Still have [STRIKE]banks to check[/STRIKE], indoor plants to water, mince pies to freeze and ebay items to pack, but it might all have to wait till tomorrow morning. The freezer will require reorganising before I can get the mince pies in :o

Still no heating / hot water as boiler still not fixed. Longing for a hot bath - the electric shower just isn't cutting it at this time of the year! And hot water coming out of the tap instead of having to juggle kettles all the time. We take so much for granted!
  • Evening :)

Feeling fairly perky so I've taken advantage of the fact to make a pasta bake for tea (and tomorrow's lunch), wrap an ebay sale for posting, wrap a present for posting, and wrap a third for dropping off to the recipient!

OH is finished half an hour early tonight so I'll see him before I turn in for an early ish night.

Fingers crossed I feel ok tomorrow. Stomach is definitely calming down, just need a good sleep now as I had a nightmare last night involving Independence Day aliens and had to wake myself up.

1LL - my mum would have had my guts for garters if I'd done something like that! I'm not surprised you were cross!

    Hi all,
Had a fab afternoon in the kitchen yesterday, made cookies, soup with ys veg, roasted a ys gammon joint which we had for tea last night and got plenty left over for lunches. Cooked off some sausage rolls for kids lunches and made pasta salad for my lunches. So no excuse to not take lunches this week!
This evening I've written all my cards, posted some and hand delivered the rest along with some Christmas presents. Also did a very small top up shop in aldeee - I only spent £12.92, a record for me!!!
And had a couple of small sales over the weekend on ebay so they've gone in the post too.
Not a bad day! Even squeezed in time to pop to see my dad so all good.
Hope everyone has a great week!

  • Morning

    Checked banking
    Phone and tablet charging.

    To do

The cooking that I didn't manage yesterday.
Iron the bedding and put it away
Post the home Christmas cards (I'm going to find another way to do this next year and donate to charity instead. The cost of postage is ridiculous)
Write and deliver the neighbours' Christmas cards
Wrap the last two presents when Himself isn't looking and put them all under the Christmas tree
See to the plants which are looking a bit the worse for wear
    Email my brother
Email the lady who rents us our holiday accommodation and let her have the dates for next year.
Sort out the money which has fallen out of my purse and is lurking at the bottom of my handbag
Make a kind of meal plan using what we have for the rest of the week.
Other than that a general clean and tidy

    But first another coffee.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Morning everyone :hello:

Yesterday was productive and did everything on my list apart from the shop, so may do this today. Have a MOC.

    Other things:
    Check banking
    Finalise tax returns
Move some money from pots to right places
Get smalls to pay me back for something from their pocket money
HM soup for lunch that I made with BNS yesterday
    Something from freezer for tea
Possibly try to make a GF loaf
    Wrap some more gifts
Take some books back to the library if I go through town. Take a photo of a couple of recipes in one first

Have a good day all. Purps.
