As to transactions.
Yorkshire pud is right. If they had said debit card usage then fine. But they do not. So any payment to or from your account is classed (in banking terms) as a "Transaction"
Just took this from Santanders T/C from the switch section. Far too many mentions of transaction in the T/C but this covers them nicely.1.14 In the unlikely event that payments continue to be redirected
to your New Account during the 13 months leading up to the
end of the 3 year redirection period we will automatically
extend the redirection service and the term of this Agreement
until such time as there is a 13 month period when no Direct
Debits, Bacs Direct Credits or Faster Payment transactions
have been automatically redirected by the central redirection
service. Consequently payments made with intervals of more
than 13 months will be disregarded.
1.11 Funds will be retained by your Old Bank to cover any
transactions made before the Switch Date on your Old
Account which are still in the process of being cleared on the
Switch Date. On the day that your Old Bank no longer needs
to retain funds to cover transactions that are being cleared,
it will transfer them to your New Account and they will be
credited to your New Account no later than the next Working
Day. Funds will also be retained by your Old Bank to cover
debit card transactions that have already been authorised but
which have not yet been paid out of your Old Account.Life in the slow lane0 -
I have done 2 debit card transactions each month as well as £500 in and out to be on the safe side, I looked on it was so easy to do more than what the minimum requirement might be.
My non tracking claim from late October is still with merchant, Status Update: 11 Dec 19
Second account opened via Quidco 4th December tracked - no estimated payment date - Status Update: 04 Dec 190 -

Does this one have a estimated payment date?
No, I saw Q you posed and edited post and then edited it to reflect status updated dates,
I thought hoped for £50 plus how easy it was to do 2 debit card transactions per month, I also took out Life insurance policies for incentive reasons and added the direct debits to TSB accounts opened via Quidco, better for accounts to look like being used for a purpose.0 -
Can you post the link please you found this on?
I googled ‘what counts as a banking transaction’
Now after actually opening the top definition it does indeed include deposits into the account. That may or may not be definitive!
So I guess I was wrong!?
But I don’t trust banks so tend to use a belt and braces approach and didn’t want to give them any extra ammunition to decline my cashback. So I made two transfers out per account. Although I didn’t use the card so they could get me on that?! They have got all of anyway, they have provided no genuinely useful info thus far so all we can do is speculate.0 -
Well if I search on TSB internet banking for any transactions between 2 dates it comes up with everything that has gone in or out of the account.
If you are using a bank statement for proof of address, TSB specify that the statement must show at least 2 transactions to show you are using the account. I think the same principle is in these T&Cs.
Fair enough I thinkI was wrong. I don’t trust the bank not to say a payment in doesn’t count as a transaction though if it suits them!:)0 -

Hands up please, if you also have TSB transactions tracked without an estimated payment date.
If so, have any of them been declined? Does anyone have an estimated payment date for any TSB transactions made after November 26?
I have several TSB transactions myself. The only one with an estimated payment date has been declined on that very date (I maintain that it is likely that this was done by an automated Quidco process).
My TSB transactions without an estimated payment date were all made on or after November 30. It will be interesting to see whether anything happens to these once 2 months are up. I reckon they'll stay as tracked for some time to come.
I have one with a payment date of November 28th. Wonder if it will become payable:o
I have two without payment dates but tracked and with the third green traffic light, ‘retailer decision’, in early December 8th.0 -

I too completed 2 transactions per month since I opened two separate accounts in mid November, both declined, claims submitted. What I did was go into one of the many coffee chains, if you've got their Google play app, scan the QR and your getting points anyway, it all adds up, and doesn't cost a great deal.
Rather than phone I'm going to visit my local TSB branch, tomorrow, where my account is registered to make enquiries, so they can direct me to an individual handling these complaints. I see other people have contacted the retailer, hopefully worth a visit. I'll get back to all and sundry on this.0 -

I very much doubt you'll get anywhere in branch - this is an online offer via Quidco - and the error, so far, is probably Quidco's. Retailers rarely help, or even know about, cashback offers through Quidco and the like. Those who've phoned have not actually had any help yet - it's Quidco any complaints need to go to.0
